It got nasty last night and referred to abuse - it's probably under review.

A couple of trolls dragged it under the bridge.

Judging by the language used, and level of petty and immature insults ebing thrown around, it's fair to say that a lot of kids must be off school.

Oh no! I hope it wasn't really bad. I too thought I was nuts, followed the link from an email notification and there was an error.

Paul - if you read this, please don't take anything nasty said to heart.

I didn't see it, no clue what was said but so many followers of that thread have taken you into our hearts and support you.

    Best wishes as always,

I know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok - they know me here! :D

    "you're a scammer!"
    "you're an idiot"
    "you're a moron"
    "you're all stupid"
"my dad's bigger than your dad"

I've never seen anything like it on here before, and I have seen things get heated. Basically one guy went on a crazy rampage declaring in fevered post after fevered post that Paul was a 416 (yes, not even 419) scammer, his son Samuel was a Nigerian and everyone who had posted in the thread in support was an idiot and somehow deserving of torrents of abuse, which were forthcoming in abundance. Oh yes, also kept spamming some link about a homeless person, for what reason...well. It just went on and on. None of it was of a particularly rational or reasonable bent, but it seems it was enough to get the thread pulled.

frustratingly the last two pages of the thread are on google but there isn't a google cache so they can't be still viewed, but the gist of the snippet that appears in the search page is the troll accusing the OP of being a 416 (sic) scammer. How odd.

Has the troll since been banned? Judging by his posts, he must've been off his head on drugs the amount of abuse he was hurling at everyone.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I believe the thread was referred to abuse and closed by Soolin

It was still on here this morning but closed but seems to have been removed, I assume it was removed later because it was against the rules, I doubt it was removed just because of some abuse otherwise it would still be here

I reported the troll last night - the thread was wisely closed - reading the trolls other posts he has a terrible attitude and I don't think MSE forums are the kind of places he should be posted from - don't know if he has been banned or not but I don't wish to read any more of his posts.

What is a pity is that Paul came on here asking for advice and it turned into a one man band b**** fest against both him and all the posters that had supported Paul and consequently, if the thread has been removed its a shame as ppl were popping back in for updates (though I can't blame anyone if it has been removed as it would have not read pleasent reading for Paul when he came back to update either).
