Anyone looking at the HSBC’s RateMatcher mortgages?

I went through the application with them yesterday for their 5 year fixed at 4.24% with a £599 fee. Ok so far...
Are you sure? I thought it was 4.44% with £599 Fee, 4.34% with £1,099 Fee or 4.24% with £1,999 Fee.
Unfortunately looks like they've removed the Rate Matcher tool from the website so I can't check.
Update! Rate Matcher Tool back up - must have been a site update! Still getting £1,999 Fee with the 4.24% Rate

Yup, just checked. Perhaps your LTV is different as mine is circa 31%.

OK thanks, had a play with the Rate Matcher, LTV has some bearing but Arrangement Fee depends largely on the loan amount. Both Rates and Arrangements Fees ramp up the bigger the loan.
Just wanted to be certain I wasn't missing a trick, still seem to be the best 5 year rates on the market no matter how you skew it. Will be interesting to see how the rates change next week.
I'm off to sign on the dotted line now...0 -

Could you maybe ask for a confirmation of the interest rate change date?
Thanks!0 -

i'm signing mine on monday(6th!) but i've got my rate booked thanks to the lovely hsbc girl.
as for rate matcher, anyone know why there's a £200 jump in booking fee for the 4.54% to 4.44% on 75% ltv? i've gone for 4.54% on 75000 loan as it's £20 less overall but £200 cheaper upfront.0 -
Pheewww just paid my Arrangement fee on 4.34% for 5years £699 down, got the approval phone call today
Just a word of warning all the HSBC paper work that I got states that rates are subject to changed until basically the fee has been paid...
Allso the rates are fixed until August 2014 so you are getting 62 months fixed not 60 depending when you start0 -

The fees vary depending on you LTV when i was looking the fees for 4.54% and 4.44% aprox 40% ltv stayed the same at £599. but at 4.34% they jumped £100. but overall that was the best deal so i took that..0 -

The rate change will be notified on Monday 6 July. I don't know what the effective date will be but my mortgage advisor said we had to sign the paperwork before this Friday to secure the current rate.
I asked what the new rates would be, told me that although they're told that rates are changing they don't know the new rates until officially announced on the day.
'So rates could go down?' I asked. 'I very much doubt it' came the reply, and I'm inclined to agree.0
