HSBC card is it any good?

I applied to HSBC over the New Year and had my approval letter dated 4th Jan. The card came through fairly early within the 10 days they quoted. So I was well pleased. I must have been dealing with the teetotals!

It took them 2 months to process my application and i eventually got the card with a £1750 limit, a bit skinny but even so 9 months at 0% interest is a fair saving over against the same amount on a standard rate card.
No on-line management though unless you have a current account with HSBC, i make my payments in cash over the counter at their branches.
I guess there must have been a big demand before Xmas as their deal was one of the best available at the time with no BT fee so i suppose that might have had something to do with the delay.0 -

You're right, I took a proper look around it today and it's very limited. I hadn't noticed as I use my current account (with another bank) to make all my payments rather than doing it via the credit card's online banking, all I needed HSBC online for was to check balances.
Not a very nice interface is it?0 -
Further to this thread (about HSBC Visa rather than the Mastercard which I have):

I had a note with my statement today saying that they will be applying a BT fee in future, 2% uncapped. Effective 1 May 2006.0 -
I went to our local branch to apply but I was asked to bring for a bank statement and unfortunately I do'nt have any as I bank with A & L and if I'll get a copy from A & L it will be £5 and I have been told that they start applying BT fee 1st of May.
I also rang my mate tonight having applied last 14/02/06 and been successful but has been waiting for her card to arrive in her doorstep.0
