You all seem to know each other very well, I guess that's what's kept me off.
Lots of talk about marathons and stuff. Just visited the running thread as well. I don't think I've ever run more than 5k, but would like to do 10k once. Marathons, don't think I'm that fussed.:o
Hey, don't worry about everyone doing marathons etc. I only started running again a couple of months ago and I am only doing 5k and 10ks and I am really slow, but the advice you get from the experienced guys over there like Rich and Becky and of course our own Sally marathon runner is superb and it does keep you going.
As for everyone knowing each other really well on here. I only started posting on 27th April and the guys on here have been fantastic to me. My only advice for you to fit in well here is that you need to be a bit mad:rotfl: and you'll just fit right inToo much month, not enough Cash!

Maz if you're going to do it - pick as flat as you can get...my first half was awful - advertised as flat and had hills (up and down) from 9-12 miles - sheer agony and I'd trained up to 16 miles by that point as well :eek:0

Well done scorgeous...its a massive achievement to do a marathon and I still can't quite believe how I ever ran that far!
Well, with the hills and everything I think mine will be more of a run a bit walk a bit marathon but I'll give it a go

och but sure, we never used to and it's only cause we talk so much on here that we seem to know each other so well...
some of us have met up, but again only thru being here....
We like to think we're pretty inclusive.
There is a lot of running chat, but there's also a lot of chocolate chat, sex chat, and all blokes are craap chat... just depends on the weather...

Quite a few of us are doing Leeds 10k, Jane Tomlinson Run for All on the 21st, so running/training has been high on the daily chat agenda while we are preparing...
i am an absolute plodder of the first degree, just cause i talk about it, doesn't mean i am any good at it!
Water and no biscuits eh? you should stick around and some of your good habits might rub off on us!
Becky - people were been trying to get me to extend my miles and do the stonehaven half which is next month, but i absoltely know my limits, i think the Glasgow one looks doable and as i say a more mixed field of runners in such a big event...
i would like to crack a half this year...

Just because I drink water and try avoiding buiscuits (quite good at saying no when other people are offering) doens't mean I'm good, in fact, I've already had a mars bar today!

I've just started [STRIKE]running[/STRIKE]jogging and quite enjoy it, but my limit does seem to be about 5k, however, I'd quite like to extend this. Maybe I need to pop on the running thread and see how to do this.
Have done a few runs (maybe 3? will check later) outside and more on the treadmill. I think I can do 5k in about 35mins atm. But it feels I'm running so slow. But if I try any faster, my heart rate goes up straight away.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0
