Yep no heavy lifting and no running for a little while - can restart full training program two weeks post op and am allowed to go for little runs from next week - thank goodness or I might go postal on someone on the underground or something

You made me laugh out loud. Now bossman knows I'm not doing any work again
I need to get myself self employed and work from home, although I have a feeling I would spend all day on here, get no work done and be even poorer than I am now:eek:Too much month, not enough Cash!

i have started it, i've input what CD stuff i've had and any naughty stuff...(almost daily!) and it says i should still be losing 1/2 a pound a day even though i am obviously desperately short on calorie intake.... and i have not lost anything...
not that i expect to, but why would food focus say i still am even with a deficit....? i'm confused.com
sammy - i think you're not in need of CD anymore, i think food focus and exercise will work for you now....

All this talk about running really makes you want to go running..
Do you all just run outside? (i.e. 'proper' running
) I was going to go the gym today and do a run, row and abs plus some arm work. Running outside is much nicer, except I like being able to 'control' my speed and know exactly how much I've done. DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

I run outside, but that's cos I'm no longer a member of a gym. I did find though that I used to get bored on the treadmill where as outside even if I do the same route as I had done the day previously, there;s still always something different to see.Too much month, not enough Cash!

Yes, I think in the gym half an hour or just over is about the maximum I can stand. If you go outside, you have different markers for your time, especially if it's a route you know well. I always run the same route atm as it's nice to know how much longer I still have to go and can pace myself and see if I've improved or not.
My flatmate has started running now as well, but he's much fitter and faster than me. He has said I could go with him though, but our timetables are quite different.
I'm only a member of a gym till mid August as they did a great 6 month deal, I seriously needed to get back to fitness after injuries last year and the gym's only 3minute walk away from home. Starting to struggle with time in the summer though as my favourite hobby is beach volleyball and that takes most of my weekends and once in a week as well, weather permitting (which means if it's not pooring down or too windy, sunshine is not necessary )DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

I'm pants on a treadmill, can run for an hour (i won't say easily) outside but i reckon 15-20 mins max on a tready... so worth doing a bit of both... or get a chance to do some different cardio when at the gym (other than the rowing you do already.)
beach volley ball! excellent! Where about in the world are you? somewhere exotic? no beach volley ball in aberdeenshire i don't think... balls would end up in norway!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
