Good morning,
I took ds for his primary school induction yesterday afternoon. He liked it so much that he came home and changed into his uniform :rotfl:. I'm glad he's so keen - he's going anyway, but a bit of enthusiasm on his part is sure to help.
I did the ironing mountain yesterday, so just need a hoover round today. Ds made cakes at his nan's but we took them with us to a neighbours for afternoon coffee, so I've promised him that we'll make some more this morning.
Bitsy, you have my sympathy. We had a 5am start this morning - ds claimed to be hungry. I think he's growing as for breakfast yesterday he had his normal 6am cookie and milk, followed by a bowl of cornflakes, and then he said "I don't suppose there's any chance of a ham sandwich with some cheese on the plate?". He had that and ate it too - all by 7:30am. He's 4 1/2 and you can see his ribs!
Take care all of you0 -

Morning everyone,
I haven't really been keeping up with the threads the last week or two so I hope everyone is all well & happy. Birthday & Anniversary congratulations where needed. We're having a bit of a cold snap atm. I'm not complaining, it's nice after such a hot summer.
I'm saddened to say that DGS is no longer on the island. He left on Thursday. It's been a pretty awful time for us over here atm. Today has been a better day, so hopefully each day will be a bit brighter than the last one. DH & I are going to the mainland tomorrow. Off to do some shopping, lunch & a movie. My choice.
It's been 1 year since DSis had her heart op. I can't believe it. She's so glad she had it. She became a grandma again today with No 5.
Taplady Hope DH back improves.

Hello all,
I've been mia for a couple of weeks, so much going on has kept me away.
I have still been o.s.ing though.
WM and BM finished. Beef curry simmering for dinner and have made some onion bhajis. A pile of ironing awaits, hope to get some done whilst looking after Darling DGD. Work on the barn conversion has come to a halt atm.
NON OS.
My Nephew ruptured his kidney skate boarding with his kids, had one kidney removed, a major op and then to test the other kidney he was injected with a nuculer radioactive diuretic. He wasn't allowed near any children for 7 days. It now appears that he has been given an overdose of the injection and is severely burnt inside and his whole body is blistered and getting worse. The hosp have told him that there is no cure. I have been driving him to hosp, Drs, Consultants and now fighting his case with a solicitor. Apparently 2 nurses should have been present at the time, 1 nurse aged about 18 did the procedure and has since been dismissed.
We are going to Spain on Monday to stay with DB1 & SiL. His blood count has increased and is quite worried.
DB2 has had 1 of the Melanomas removed but it's not healing.
I went to the Drs. y/day to have 4 moles checked out. 1 can be removed at the surgury under local anisthetic but the other 3 gave her concern. She faxed the hosp for an appointment for me, I got home and 20mns later received a call from the hosp wanting me in on Monday. The day we fly to Spain, so I have an app. for the day we land back. I keep telling myself it's just a precaution. But am a bit concerned because my DDad died of Melanoma and DB2 has it also.
So sorry to bring the thread down but have had some lovely friends on here pm me and thought I'd explain my absence. Thank you peeps for your kind pm's and comments re me MIA.
Haven't read any posts for a while so appoligies for not being up to date.:o0
