what a fantastic thread as I have been looking for something to change to as both me and DS suffer from dry skin and I was wondering about changing our normal non bio soap powder to see if this helps. Have just ordered a 25g bag of soapnuts to see how we get on.
Thanks everyone for the advice and tips.0 -
My soapnuts have just turned up, the postie was trying to force them through the letter-box! I was impressed with the sample so ordered a bag but I don't think they're going to last long because I've told my relatives about them and they all want some to try.Dum Spiro Spero0

I might be wrong but when I read some earlier posts the majority were not impressed. I too thought of using these but after reading on here decided not to try them. The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0 -

I got my free sample from a different place to everyone else https://www.underthegooseberrybush.co.uk
they are brilliant. Ref. the smell that was mentioned earlier on, it goes once dry but if you sprinkle some essential oil on the bag you use, your washing should come out smelling lovely.
Really good on colours but if you find whites going a bit grey use some ecover laundry bleach in your wash.Sorry if this has already been covered, but does anyone know if these soapnuts are safe for nut allergy sufferers?
As far as i know Soapnuts arn't actually nuts so shouldn't have problem if you have a nut allergy
Hope that helps

Can't say for certain, but the way they are "pushed" as being great for children's sensitive skins (even babies) I would have thought they would be perfectly safe. Off-topic I'm loving More with Less!! (And this from someone who says she detests cooking, oh well another convert!):rotfl:
