Reserved new build: If we delayed we'd lose incentives, but now they're delaying..

We've reserved a house with Persimmon to be moving in May/June time.
So far we have reserved and paid £500 reservation fee. We were meant to sign on 28Feb. We understood that we would lose all incentives (excellent discount, free caprets, stamp duty paid) if we didnt do this by 28 Feb.
However, Persimmon are STILL sorting things out at their end. We could say that they have now messed us around for a month!
So, are we entitled to ask for any 'compensation'? Go into the offices and get angry? (it doesnt really matter to us, but we could get angry if there's something in it for us ha ha!)
We'd really like any tips/advice, thanks .

Generally, I;ve found that the builders are quite flexible on this. Judging by what your saying I dont think you will loose the incentive if the reason you could not exchange on 28 feb was due to the builder and you have done everything on your side.
Have the builders said that they wil withdraw the incentives?
On a couple of occassion I did not exchange within 28 days but the builder was quite happy to let me have the incentives because I showed them that I was doing everything I possibly could. One of the reason was the solicitor was slow but as I was using their recommended solicitor they didnt say much.
Speak to the builder and see what they say? No need to get angry just yet!!Debt at highest (November 2005) = £35,856
Debt currently (August 2006) = £20,790
&More £1,530, Egg £6,800, HSBC £3,760, Egg Loan £8,700
Interim goal = £23,400 (Target: February 2006, Missed but acheived May 2006)
2nd Interim Goal = £15,000, Target October 2006
Debt Free Date = February 2008 BUT I'M GOING TO BE TRYING FOR SOONER!!!

It happens. Anger wont solve anything and I know for a fact that Persimmon dont pay compensation (previous life). Just sit tight, the incentives will still be yours. Good luck0

Thanks both of you! Actually I wasn't worried about losing our incentives (should I have been?!!) I was more thinking, IF we'd have delayed, they reckon they WOULD HAVE taken stuff away. Therefore, since it's THEM who are delaying, would they GIVE us anything to compensate?!! Probably wishful thinking, this game isn't equal after all! Thanks.0
