Thanks Jenni, and you make sense. :) Yea the payrise was what I went for... had my job description rewritten to reflect what I actually do and it went to HR to be graded last week. Boss was very hopeful - was interviewed as part of the process and put my case forward etc but didn't work. My boss is working on the amount of work there is and is really helping with it. Trying not to be disheartened as no was always one of the two options HR had to decide on, but it's just annoying. There's no appeal now either so that decision is final.

And yes, happy happy joy joy - it's Friday and I've not been at work today and I'm off to Basingstoke tomorrow to play in an orchestra and I'm going to have a great time! :)

Just back from dinner, chilli, nan bread, wine :D and have done nothing but giggle since I sat down, you are officially a bunch of nutters! :rotfl::rotfl:

Splodz, I would stay put hunny, money really isn't everything, I left a really lovely job where my boss (I was his PA) and I became good friends and supported each other through some bad personal times, I was allowed to manage myself and learn so much, if I wanted to go home early I could just say I'm P**sed off I'm going home, if I was "accidently" held up in town for an extra hour at lunchtime he'd just shake his head when I trotted back in with my shopping. But it was a lower payscale than I wanted and not utilising my potential, so with his blessing and a stunning reference I moved onwards and upwards to a nightmare stressed out situation that has left me with no confidence, low self esteem and no ambition to ever work again even if I could leave the house on my own. Go for happiness and a comfortable existance IMHO :o
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)
