Splodz, it is a hard one: I would say go with your heart, because unless you really like your job and unless it is stress-free, then a bigger wages package is not going to make you happier. Keep the option of taking a career route open in all cases but maybe look for more jobs, varied roles than the one that may cause you stress, if possible.
In my case, I only do a part time job but my career prospects are a lot more up my street so I feel that I am keeping my job now just to contribute, even a little, to my household income but it is so stressful in all respects and definitely not something I see myself doing for much longer so it is easier for me to decide...I think!
