Hmmm not sure what to do.
After today's disappointing letter from my work HR dept I need to decide what I want to do. Do I want to progress in my career and earn more and become more of a manager - ie look for another job or push for a promotion? Or am I happy plodding along in my current role being paid a middly salary that just about covers everything each month?
I just don't know. A few years back it would have been the career route definitely, but since the whole anxiety and fatigue thing last year I don't know if I could cope with extra stress associated with a high managerial role, so don't know if there is any point trying to get there.
Anyway, it's Friday night so time to relax.
(OH, and I had the spam button earlier this evening but it's gone now?)
Edited to add: I should add that really my current role is a pretty good one. I can do the work, I like who I work with, the location is nice (although I hate the 45 min journey each morning and evening), OH works in the same place, I run my own day/diary, and holiday entitlement is pretty good. The money isn't great but the other bits are ok. But I don't have the authority to sort problems out when they arise which I find frustrating, and the work load is massive (the work of at least two people!).Life is all about the journey.0 -
