Good afternoon
Verrrrry late for me on here I have been shredding all the mountains of paperwork that came from the clear out the other day
The gerbils now have enough bedding to keep them going for 4 lifetimes :rotfl:
Have quickly dusted & vacced after shredding marathon as there was bits everywhere not helped by the dog who kept walking through it, sneezing, then walking away. Dinner is meatballs & spaghetti I've made the meatballs so just got the sauce to do in a bit.
Penny Pincher (((((hugs)))))
Twink Congratulations!
Hugs where needed to anyone else xxx
Edited to add: Happy Anniversary N9eav & Mrs N9eav! We've been married 21 yrs in Spetember.0 -
Afternoon all,
Sunny but chilly here to-day, have few things to do in garden so hope that sun stays around for that.
Dinner is roast chicken, carrot and buttered cabbage, new potatoes...although haven't yet found a decent new potato...I might just have yesterday's leftover casserole which turned out very nice.
Need to hoover downstairs and tidy up as SIL ( OH's sister) is calling over next few days for help in filling out pension application form....she is 65 in August and her company has told her that as they are making several people redundant they can't justify keeping her on. She is a clean freak so don't want her to feel that her poor brother is living with a slob!
Promised OH I would make a rhubarb tart to-day, so need to come up with another couple of things to make so that oven will be full, can't be turning it on for just one thing...oh, there is the chicken so maybe a batch of scones, plain as DGS2 won't eat ones with raisins in, although he loves a handful of raisins....
Probably be back later...happy anniversary N9eav and Mrs N9eav, enjoy your meal
Hugs to all in need or want

Hello
well finished 2nd masters module last week results in july. started 3rd module yesterday, thinking I must be mad as well as working full time but they give me paid time off for uni and are paying for the course so alls well with that.
Think may have a break at the end of this one and start again after xmas is soooo time consuming.
Doing well with budgeting as have been buying reduced meat and bread products when see them and have a bulging freezer.
last week took annual leave from normal job to be poll clerk and do the counts so extra £250 gross (about £200 ish after tax) at the end of this month.
mortgage deal comes to an end at the end of this month they put us on a 35yr one when we took it out 2yrs ago as they said we didnt earn enough to have it over 25yrs!!! well we've overpaid the max we can without penalities and paid an extra £1,000 a month so are at the stage we would be at in 15yrs if we had made min payments, so when we sort out a new deal we will have it over 20yrs if we can.
we contacted the bank yesterday as our deal means we just go over onto variable which is 3.6% at moment and to see what deals they have well we thought we have 73% loan to value but they have now revalued the house as a little less and say we have 77% so we are in a higher loan to value bracket so less deals available to use, we have decided in next 2mths we will get it down to the lower bracker 74% and hopefully get a good fixed rate deal for a few years.
anyway for tea tonight is roasted bacon joint (easy wrap in foil bung in oven for 2hrs), new potatoes, and peas/sweetcorn mix (was bogof £1.09 in marks spencer) and some carrots with a mushroom sauce - yummy0 -
At the end of the day, the fridge freezer beat me into submission.
The brackets etc do NOT work on the other side unless of course you want your freezer door a half inch in the wrong way so there's a gap. Even saying some of those "mechanical" words didn't help. It's now back opening the way it originally did. Ho hum.
I totally forgot the laundry I was suppose to put in so will do that this evening after tea. Tea tonight will be grilled salmon with a creamy dill sauce and some veg from the freezer. Quick, easy and tastes good. That'll do me.
Have a good evening all. Will try to drop in tomorrow to see how everyone is getting on.

HELP!
What are you going to use it for?
I must confess i started out using white vinegar for cleaning, unblocking drains with bicarb and as a fabric conditioner but when it went up to 57p per bottle i tried the plain old cheapest malt vinegar at 13p per bottle and i`m still using it months later.:D
The white is usually next to the malt vinegar in the supermarket and i buy it from Asda and Morrisons.
Must dash i`m making pizza
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0
