    We had this in a property a couple of years ago and I found it very expensive to run. We had a pull out filter and it was incredible the amount of dust that used to lie in the filter.

    The one that I had was in a unit lined with asbestos - if you are going to change it, I'd advise having it checked just in case the area it sits in is lined with absestos.

    I don't know your situation but EAGA offer grants for people on low incomes (and disability benefits) to replace central heating.
