(not health and beauty please - I do not want to be with all the diet threads)
If I live on cabbage leaves I wonder how much weight I can lose.
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

Meh - welcome to sub board life of 'maybe if we hide you somewhere you'll shut up and go away'...since we're obviously irritating the powers that be here - anyone got any suggestions where we ask for the thread to move to?

Edit: moy vote is for a ban to the arms
No, for what i can see.
The DFW section is full or diaries of people, so they want to move them out of the way, as the people that need help are getting pushed back to page 2 & 3.
Therefore, move the diaries etc into the sub-section and leave the front section free for people wanting help.0 -

Thanks- no chance of getting 20 in over next few days, oh hours wierd this week so struggling to run much at all. Have asked sis to have kids on sunday so will take advice and do 16 then.

Hahahaha just being nosey on the Virgin site:
http://www.virginlondonmarathon.com/training-centre/training-advice/training-plans/advanced-24-week-training-plan/
Advanced training plan for a marathon - in minutes not miles :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
And I presume this is interval training:
Train at maximum effort for 75 secs, walk for 3 mins. Repeat 6 times.
Because it never reaches VO2 max threshold (about 4 minutes) and is classed as a 'sprint' interval due to the interval (rest time) length = not that good for marathon training, where you should be doing bulk interval sessions :rolleyes:0 -
That maybe so... but the GP is on at 6am on Sunday... So I might have to get out at 2.30am to getmy planed 22m in :eek:...
That or leave after the GP and put up with 22m of stops and starts .Cabbage Patch 09 - 10m - 1hr 06mLeicester 09 -1/2 - 1h 26m0 -

Yup - the body panics - been there! I reckon the panic reaction is down to the thought you might be about to have an asthma attack, or because it feels similar to when you do have one.
I used to have to pay a lot of attention to keeping my breathing regular to stop this. A lot of beginning runner books/sites say don't worry about this early on, but for me to carry on I had to think about it. It is second nature now. I only started running in February - took me a couple of months probably to get the basics down and part of that was down to dealing with the cold air which also gives me grief.0
