Why are some many of you wearing sleeveless tops? Or cut off trousers? Or flats?

Justamum, this subject came up amongst the girls who've been chatting about MS fashion on the earlier threads .

The ( very sensible ) point that was made, I think by Sharron, but apologies if it was someone else, was to live in the 'now', ie dress your best for the shape you are today, not the shape you believe you would like to be. You're in the same boat as LOADS of us, ie wishing we could lose anything from a few pounds to a few stones.

However the theory is if you spend wisely on your wardrobe or even just organise the wardrobe you already have , with clothes that really work hard for you and you look good, you will feel good and be more body-aware. This helps raise your self-esteem and long-term may help you to focus on losing the extra pounds.

Do make sure you earmark that pressie money for yourself!

I suppose I should also have mentioned that I LOATHE clothes shopping. There are so many clothes to look through that I end up feeling all panicky and give up. I particularly hate TKMax which is just like a large jumble sale.

TBH I hate TK Max too (Ducks for cover!!), but DD did get an absolute bargain of a fabulous prom dress a couple of years ago and saved me an absolute fortune from there!

I don't have a lot of time or much patience for dragging round the shops. I'm finding it easier to organise my thoughts at home. I'm trying to make up outfits from what I've got, so go on a fairly short focussed trip, when I have a very good idea of what I'm looking for, rather than ambling round aimlessly picking up on this and that.

For example, I've decided I'd like a white halter top for my hols to Greece which will go with several things I've already got and have worked out already the style is suitable for my body-shape. Checked out online and love this

    http://www.monsoon.co.uk/invt/42022307

but don't really love the price!

Actually love the crop pants, the other tunic and both pairs of shoes shown underneath it too , but "I MUST NOT SUCCUMB TO MONSOON MARKETING TECHNIQUES".

I am scouting round online for something similar. (Anyone seen anything similar??) Need to try it on but when I go shopping tomorrow, will know exactly what I'm looking for.

Small focussed steps I think is the answer!!
    Hope this helps

    Sorry OP , easily side-tracked!!!!!

Feline - Will wait until the online sales and get a couple of tops sent to my dad's house ready for when I am in the UK

Justamum - I feel your pain, I often find it really overwhelming especially in shops and shopping centres that are new to me. I get dizzy and panicky sometimes. That's why sometimes it is better to shop online.

Good idea! Doubt it though, think it was July last year and I'm going this month. Still if I don't find alternative, will look in sales as it's a fairly timeless piece ...isn't it?
