morning!
dull here too ATM but I'm of to work till 10pm tonight(11 hours) so it doesn't really matter.
DS2 finally handed all his work in to college:j he is mightily relieved as am I and now we just have to wait and see whether it is good enough for him to progress to the 2nd year. He is doing film and media studies.
DS1 was DJing at a party last night that didn't fnish till 4am so I expect he will sleep all day, he stopping with his partner ATM - they seem to be getting on well.
OS things -
find some tea from the freezer for the others as I'm at work
washing drying on the airers and picture rails
quick tidy and vac before work
thats about it for today.
Donny Gal - what a cheek! I'd do as the others suggested(even if it is a bit childish:D) and find some 'naughty' underwear to hang out - give her something else to moan about:rotfl: I love seeing a line of washing blowing in the wind - she must TD all hers.
PP - how are you ? hope you're well x
I hope everyone else is ok, have a great day
Take care xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
I'm with you all on that and make sure the underwear is definitely in line of sight! To be honest I use my drive as I do not have space elsewhere, and it does not go beyong the building line, only put the line out when in use and take everything in as soon as dry, but she is a Mrs Bucket! She insists on feeding Starlings from a bird table against our drive, hence we have to put the car in the garage otherwise it gets immediately splattered, and so the drive is free to use. Our fence is almost all white stripes!
When working full time I admit I always used the tumbler, but now at home in daylight hours so dry outside if at all possible.

Your neighbour is a fool and if clean washing on a line is all she has to complain about then she is very lucky.
I'd be tempted to borrow " saucy" outfits - French maid etc - and really wind her up!
Spent all day yesterday trying to sort out the washing machine, eventually burst into tears , wailed I wanted a nice kitchen and to sell the house and get moved.DH realised I was tired as had several late nights and early mornings and persuaded me to go and have a hour's sleep.
When I surfaced he had fished DDs hairband and a couple of coins from the machine so fingers crossed that has fixed it.
Making salad with home made sweet potato burgers tonight and will brave the washing machine later.
Have been very decadent and taking DDs laptop upstairs with a tea tray but keep skipping lines of what I have typed. Longing for normal computer to get fixed !
We pick up DD (20) from uni on Saturday and looking forward to having her back home.
I miss wannabesybil but enjoy her blog.
Hugs to everybody."This site is addictive!"

DD1 just has maths but DS has left his trainers at home so she needs to drop those off to him
DG I would be tempted to pop to A*** S****** to see if they had any specialist wear that needed to be drip dryed on the line:D
Will be taking the cat to the vet as she appears to have an abcess on her face could do without it as i cant find my cat carrier so i obviously lent it to someone and it hasnt been returned:mad: have asked on freecycle for one to borrow if there is not one available for gifting

'Morning all!
Did I post yesterday? So tired and forgetful these days that I really can't remember! Blame it on the hormones...
Not a good day yesterday anyhow - very tearful for no real reason and felt quite down. My PMA has def. 'left the building'. Tried to talk to DH about what we will do if this round of treatment fails, but he's being a typical man (sorry men out there!) and won't discuss it. He's so convinced it will work, just says that IF we havve to, we'll cross that bridge if we come to it. I admire his confidence, but I need a PLAN to fall back on *sighs & sniffles*.
Can't complain about him too much really - he did take over cooking dinner last night when I felt poorly and had to go sit down (he can do it when he has to, but cooking def. not his forte!).
Back to clinic shortly for scan #3, then have been summoned to our main office for a meeting with a 'bigwig' from head office - on;y called yesterday and no-one knows what it is about, not even my boss (who has had to cancel a customer meeting to be there and is not impressed!). As we've been losing a lot of work lately it could be bad news, but I can't worry about that as I have too many other things to worry about!
Not even gonna get started on Dad today...but did call the local Dementia Care people yesterday and arrange for someone to call my mum about counselling and any other help they might be able to give her. She is not really convinced about the idea but hope they will persuade her to give it a go.
OS wise - not a lot done yesterday except make the bread. We've started a 'use up the freezer & cupboards contents' challenge, so I'll be going through them tonight and making a new mealplan accordingly. My previous spreadsheet has rather gone by the wayside in the last few weeks so I don't really know for sure what we have in, but the freezer is bulging so there must be plenty of meals in there somewhere!
Have a good day everyone. Will update later on the results of my scan and the mtg, if I get the chance.

It's sunny but with looming clouds here but I've chanced the washing out anyway. Yesterday was busy as I cleared out the boys rooms  They look lovely now & I've decided it's easier to have a quick tidy round in a morning myself instead of getting stressed out at them as they obviously won't do it  Oh well at least DD's room looks, and smells, lovely.
Going shopping soon we seem to have run out of everything so it's a big list. Tea tonight is chicken sweet & sour with egg noodles. I'm also going to make a garlic & chickpea soup for lunch which I found on Weezl's thread here if anyone wants to have a look.
Hope everyone is well? Pink, Penelope Penguin, Bethebee & anyone else MIA Where are you all? ((((hugs)))) to those having a tough time at the moment.
Edited to add: Fairyelephant Positive vibes for you ((((hug))))0 -
Donnygal I'm afraid I would tell your neighbour to go and whistle Dixie Blooming cheek. There is nothing nicer than freshly dried washing straight from the line and smelling lovely Stuck up mare, doesn't she have washing or is she too perfect. I used to have a neighbour like that who complained that I had hung the washing out on a Sunday, and I replied 'God's not fussed, and neither am I as I am using his fresh free air' tell her to get a life there are far more things to worry about than seeing washing on the line ,it shows you are clean and caring to your family for one thing .
jst got back from the school run and am just going to make some cakes shortly
have a good day everyone it's spitting with rain in North Kent0 -
Hi all
After feeling a bit better yesterday the headache is back with a vengance:rolleyes:....have just phoned GP and am going there at 3 30. The pain is really severe and all tingling and numb down left side of my face which is panicking me a bit:eek:....being a nurse I know a bit too much sometimes...am sure it is a migrane but have never had headaches before this problem started.
Just waiting for Mr S to deliver shopping.
Not doing much OS today.
MSD hope you get the toothache sorted
FE good luck today....my DB was the same as your DH when him and my SIL were having IVF....he just assumed it would work and was devastated when it didnt...it seemed to hit him harder as he had got his hopes up and hadnt considered what he would do if it didnt work.
well going off PC now as head hurting too much to read:o
have a good day all0 -
Tired Mum
We obviously think the same way.;)
Donny Gal
Your dear neighbour might be interested to know that she is the one creating the "nuisance" by where she feeds the birds!
FE
Good luck with IVF etc.
JackieO
I agree with you about washing on the line. We have this every day and I despair when it rains. Love to see washing blowing round.
Laptop scuppering my posts so will stop now."This site is addictive!"
