Would you stay in a hotel you'd had bad service in?

Thanks again for all your kind responses.

Just had an e-mail with a confirmation number for two nights free of charge in Radisson SAS in Liverpool including breakfast. So lets hope this stay is a little more enjoyable.

Whose was? If it was mine then I'm sorry...it was probably because I was still angry when writing so worded everything the wrong way around!
Sorry, not you - I meant the letter you got back from them! Sorry for not being clear.

Radisson hotels aren't great - I know we used to use them a lot for work and we now avoid them completely, due to problems with the hotels generally and staff who really aren't trained regarding charges and accounts. Britannia is another chain that it's really best to avoid.

Gingernutmeg, I totally agree about Britannia; stayed at the Adelphi in Liverpool; the worst hotel I have EVER stayed in. EVER!!

Jesus, we went to look at hotels just now for Dublin on Saturday night (the date we specified) and on the booking.com website the Radisson SAS is available that night! Not with any limits as to how many rooms are left either!

Don't quote me, but I think the European chains tend to be run very differently from their UK counterparts. 'Chain' hotels seem to be much better on the continent.

I have heard a rumour that *some* hotels in the Britannia chain save money by not always changing the sheets between guests - allegedly ;)
