Not the big Paypal revolt I was expecting unfortunately. And I thought the 'advice' offered at the end was a waste of time.
*Insure your package – it'll protect you should your shipment get lost in the mail, or if the buyer claims it wasn't delivered..
*Make sure you send all items you sell by a trackable method like Special Delivery.(we know makes no difference)
*Don't send it to a different address other than the one you were originally given unless you're really sure of it.
*Be aware of any unusual buyer requests like rushing the shipment at any cost or partial payments – perhaps from different accounts.
*Check out your buyers – do they have a confirmed address? What's their feedback score? Is their PayPal account verified? (Waste of time if they buy and pay instantly)
Basicly nothing we dont already know!0 -
Come on martin wheres your Balls lets get this American company to answer to their incompetence. This company as a lot to answer to they mislaid two of my payments of which I transferred back in January and today I have finally had the fial amount refunded. Also I proved to paypal that I sent an item and I lost over £180.00 because they ruled in favour of the buyerRememember. Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.
Never pass up an opportunity to go to the bathroom.
If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You get another chance. And finally, be really nice to your family and friends; you never know
when, You might need them to empty your bedpan.0 -
Also why was the woman with t he £78 corset using recorded delivery? No one seemed to pick up on the fact it should have gone special then if buyer claimed non receipt she could have claimed back from the RM?
I get frustrated at Watchdog sometimes, they don't really tackle the problems, they just make people look a little dim and set that Nicky man to ask really dumb questions and never give the other person a chance to reply.

I'm new here so won't start a new thread, but i'm not that new to ebay or paypal.
Luckily I have never had any problems with either. Watching last night and reading all your comments, have I been lucky?
It has really put me off offering paypal in my listings now. Although I only normally sell things that would reach a price from £10 or the most I would get for some of my items would be just over £100.
Maybe it's cheque or postal order payments only for me now?0 -
Welcome Lillybell,
If your methods have been working for you then stick by them i have been using paypal for years.

I've been using paypal for years as well, had thousands of transactions go through with no problems at all.

Soo
Just a quicky. If I sold an electrical item and gave a 7 day return option on any faults and then the item went wrong, in say, 10 days could the buyer have a case with paypal?
As I stated before, maybe I have been lucky, but the general public can be really difficult and I'm bound to get one soon. So what returns policy is best to offer. IF ANY?
Thanks0
