I know I'm probably being a bit thick here but if I want to ring and beg someone to extend my reservation - what number do I phone? I get a bit flummoxed by all the "press 1 for bla bla bla" that you get. And that is why I love the internet so much - it's a gift for people like me who are afraid of telephones!!!
pathetic ain't it....
I thank the font of all argos knowledge in advance!0 -
Phone the store where the item is reserved.
Find the phone number from here: http://www2.bt.com/edq_resnamesearch
(Thanks Stumpy - hope you don't mind me borrowing your link from your site.)
Just tell them the reservation number and they should extend it for you no problem.Herman - MP for all!0 -

**sigh** - obviously the person that answers the phone at my local store has cleared off home for the day....0 -
I rang the customer Service number 0870 600 3030 a few times for the same reason. On one occassion I was told I needed to ring the store myself, on the other couple of occasions I was very kindly assisted by ladies who rang the stores for me !0

Beware though!!! I had to extend a reservation yesterday - was really pleased because customer services were really helpful (didn't realise I could ring the store - rang customer services instead, whose number are on the confirmation e-mail they send you), they rang the store in question and told me there were no others in stock, so they had re-reserved mine for one week. Well chuffed I was.
Then I happened to notice on the argos online checking thingy that suddenly, another of the same item - the Hot Wheels thing - had suddenly become available. Was a bit suspicious of this, as I had already been told there weren't any others there, so I reserved that as well.
Went into the store today, tried to pick up my original reservation, the one that, yesterday, customer services had apparently re-reserved for a week, and it had been cancelled. The woman at the store seemed to think that, if the reservation was extended, I should have been given a new reservation number - but if it had been just a case of forgetting to give me the new number, then the item would still have been reserved, not available for anyone else to reserve.
Was not happy. Well, I was fairly happy in that I still managed to get it, but you know what I mean.
So, I sent an e-mail to argos customer services to complain about it, via their website, and every time I tried to send it, the thing gave me an error message. There's a surprise!!!0 -
Just managed to pick up 2 Gamecube bundles from a local store. Got home and noticed only one has the gamecube inside !!!! I know, I know, but they were put in a bag together and I didn't think to check the contents
So, what do you think the chances are that they'll believe me ?? !!0 -

Blimey! I never thought to check mine was actually in the box! I'd better check before I give it to my 4 year old. It felt heavy enough lugging it up the road though.
Perhaps yours is on display in the store? Good luck!0 -
Surely there will be an extra one in stock at the store, they should be able to check this out pretty quickly. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
