  • Just extended some reservations by phone. Apparently items can be held for up to 2 weeks providing store systems will allow.

    Hope that helps.

I've just done the same thing. Didn't feel very happy going out in all the snow today, so got customer services to extend a reservation for me - which they did for a week. Bit of a relief. Assuming it is actually there when I get there!!

I've just had a phone call from Argos regarding the cancelled reservation for the Cluedo I was after.

I had no idea they were still looking into it, but it seems that the Cluedo I reserved WAS given to another customer in error. They're trying to locate another one from another store and will get it sent up to Inverness where I can pick it up.

I take back all the bad thoughts I had. ;)

Does anyone live near Bristol that could possibly do a pick up and post?

Either the Bristol Galleries or Bristol Cribbs Causeway Store

    Any help would be appreciated.

Blimey - that's impressive customer services for you!! Don't usually expect that type of thing from Argos, although I have to say I may be forced to revise my opinion soon if they keep this up ;)

I think there's a vague possibility that I've ordered two of these: the hotwheels racing track. Not completely sure, I had one on reserve, couldn't get there today, rang customer services, they said that apart from the one I had on reserve, there were no others in stock, so they would re-reserve mine. Just checked online, and suddenly one has appeared in stock. Sooo - either something went pear shaped, and customer services didn't re-reserve, or perhaps someone else had reserved one but didn't collect.

Anyway, after all that waffle, I'm hopefully going to pick up mine tomorrow - if there is a spare one, does anyone want it? Don't know how much postage will be, but I'd imagine less than a tenner. PM me if you do! - Taken!!
