Many thanks mate for your comments.
It depends if you need a high power strimmer or not. I haven't used it yet, but having seen petrol strimmers in action before they really make a lot of the wired ones look like toys

I am having problems accessing the https://www.argos.co.uk site and various others such as John Lewis.
Each time I try and access certain sites I get the MSN search site coming up
    http://sea.search.msn.co.uk/dnserror.aspx?FORM=DNSAS&q=www.argos.co.uk

Is anybody else experiencing similar problems or have I picked up some virus?

    Any help would be appreciated

Sounds like you've picked up something. A friend of mine recently found he couldn't access Google, Yahoo etc.. Gave his pc a once over with Ad-Aware and hey presto, everything was back to normal.

I'm not saying this will fix your problem, as it could be a virus which would require a proper virus checker. Worth a try anyway.

Many thanks, Stumpy. Sadly for those of us who are visually impaired, your website design (in particular, the speckled background, which eliminates contrast) makes it one of the most illegible sites I've ever encountered. A friend read it though, compliments you on the excellent content (NOT the design!) but said there was no definition of the term "RO List" or explanation for the initials "RO". Maybe there isn't one.

For your FREE guide to accessible web design, please check out:

    or

There had been a bit of argument as to what "RO" stood for, and I sort of got a bit lost as to what the outcome was, so I didn't put anything on the site about that!! Its not necessary to know what the letters stand for to use it anyway - everyone refers to it simply as the "RO" list. ;)

Thank you for your comments regarding the design of the site, although perhaps suggesting ways that it would make it easier for you to read would have been helpful, rather than just directing me to a load of websites - if you know specifically what would help you to read the content, it would make it much easier if you told me rather than have me trawl through a whole load of extra information, as I only have a finite amount of time I can spend in front of the PC, unfortunately :(

As you suggested that the background was making things difficult, I have changed it to a flat colour - perhaps you could have another look and see what you think.

I have a petrol strimmer but this with the cutting disc is an excellent buy. May be a little heavy duty for some but I couldn't resist.
If anyone has got one and has changed their mind I would gladly buy it off them!!!
My lady friend has a river bank to chop back every year and this should do nicely.

I'm sat in waiting for my Black and Decker Lawn Raker to be delivered, and what better way to pass the time - than looking for more bargains. My husband hates this site - calls it the Money Spending Expert site!!!!!! I've certainly become that lately.

If you are trying them online Pieman they won't work - only on R+R or instore on the stock checkers. ;)

By the way, my Lawnrakers arrived - its great!! Hope someone else managed to get one, great value for £15. :)
