Wee_Fifer, when the clock is just being a clock (i.e. the radio is not on or you're not playing a cd) put your ear to it and see if you can hear a buzzing noise.
Herman - MP for all! :)
  • I get that noise Aliasojo from a micro cd player that I bought from Tesco, a constant buzzing noise just by being switched on at the socket, does my head in. Unfortunately I discovered it after I threw the box and receipt away I think!

no but the origional cat no was 537/8067 the one i saw was a managers special which started with 592 and because of its huge size and it was still in a box it had a picture of it stuck on the front which was the one used in the origional sale ad for it

    Thanks vip bargain, and welcome!

I've been looking for one of these for a while. None in Northern Ireland :( If anyone see's one available anywhere, I'd be grateful if you would let me know.

    Thanks,

    Pink

Actually, I don't think he/she did - gk172 was actually recommending a Ministry of Sound CD clock radio instead of the sony one - and on whose recommendation I bought one (well, actually, my OH did, for a chrimbo pressie for me  ;D)

Although I noticed its now gone back up to full price again.  :-/

I went into my local small Argos today and they had lots of catalogue clearance things piled up selling for half price. Most things were toys and most were half price.

HEHE - sorry - completely rubbish memory!! Very good, although haven't quite worked out the CD alarm bit yet - I was hoping when I put it on "random" it would play a different part of the CD each morning. And, strangely, I had to put a hardback book on top of it last night as it had developed a strange buzz. I do like the touch screen though, and the fact that it glows - means that I have a much higher chance of hitting the right bit to switch the alarm off!! ;D
