ARGOS CLEARANCE SALE MARK XXII

I'm feeling a bit miffed that the Lego I bought for £59.99 last week has now been reduced to £34.99.
I'm tempted to buy it again at £34.99 then return it using my £59.99 receipt - probably not allowed but still technically the same product.
My only concern is that when I returned it the box would be scanned and show up as £34.99 and I would be very embarrassed!! :-[
Does anyone know if this is likely to happen?!0 -
Why would they scan the box?
Wouldn't they take the details from your receipt? It would only be if you didn't have the receipt that they would work with the cheaper price, I think.Herman - MP for all!0 -
These were Christmas presents that did not go down too well.
Oh DearWhatever happened to gratitude ???

Hi,
I have seen that the ARGOS sale finishes on the 21st January 2005.
Does this mean that a new catalogue will appear around the 22nd January?
Does this also mean there will be loads of cheap Argos goods when the catalogue is changed and the RO list is then produced?
Does anybody know exactly?
I am happy to produce an RO "type" list for everyone, by producing a list of products that were in the old catalogue but are not in the new catalogue, if that helps.
Other than that I don't know how else to help, but I would need someone to check to see if the product list I have created actually contains decent RO products that are available - perhaps against an official Argos RO list?

Stumpy has already produced the Argos RO lists and has promised to produce a new one when/if there is a new RO list coming out.
Call me a cynic but what do YOU get out of everyone from MSE using your website?0 -
Ok fair enough.
I'll still produce a list though just in case and make it available on the website and in text and excel formats.
I may need to use it myself as well anyway, as I missed out on all the bargains 6 months ago.

Anyone know if the argos stores are open tomorrow ?0

I was in Argos today and thought i'd try a couple of numbers as i want a new digi camcorder.Nearly everything came up as no longer selling that item apart from a Sony Camcorder which was
Sony DCRPC105 item no:563/1247
This said only for home delivery so what does this mean, that they still had some?Darren0 -
When it says for home delivery it meens they might have some! Only way to find out is to ask someone where you pay. Had home delivery for barbeque that was in stock ok, but got same for push chair thingy and came up as outa stock when tried ordering.
Stumpy I am sure could make a flat top on a small tree with my Argos Jigsaw (thats a tool not a picture puzzle! tho that may be possible too )Nope.... Still cant think of owt interesting to put here.0 -
Sharp VLZ5H Camcorder was £399.99 563/1230 now £199.99 with free pack of tapes (570/5441) store pick up only.
Not sure how good it is though, haven't been able to find any enthusiastic reviews.0
