well this thread intrigues me, was married 21 years when hubby upped & left, and now being fat & frumpy need to get back in the swing of things- I am outgoing and have had 3 dinner invitations from people I know etc.. but am afraid to make the leap- 21 years with one man you get nervous of being around others- good luck to all looking for love.Duct tape is like the force. Like above mine started with a hello to a stranger, we just started chatting regular when we saw each other...four years later we married, start with a hello and work up to "you've had your hair done" or "nice shirt" make a friend then make a lover...they are always the best ones to have, i think we have all dated people then wondered, why? they look ok but i dont like them as a person 6 months down the line...0

I met my boyfriend on a blind date
A friend introduced us, as somebody else has said, never turn down opportunities, Im not the kind of person to go out with a complete stranger but thought what the heck, if I dont like him I never have to see him again! little did I know a year later we would still be together
finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!0 -
Ohhh go on hm, you go for it. You have nothing to lose.
When my husband and i split up i went out on dates with 26 men in 2 years....yep, you read that right. Took every opportunity offered and then met my husband, a man who was 14 years younger than me. He was just 24 and ten years later we are very happily married. MAKE THAT JUMP!0 -
My hubby was part of a big group of friends that I met from in a local chat room, he was seeing someone else at the time and we never had any romantic tendencies towards each other.. Gradually everyone drifted away apart from a couple of us who kept in touch via messenger and email, fast forward 3 years, we were both single and I kept inviting him round to catch up, no agenda, just as friends... Something bizarre happened, within 4 months we'd booked the church, by the time we got married there was a baby on the way... Our daughter will be a fortnight old tomorrow and we'll of been together 2 years in July, married 1 year in September...
I'd all but given up on finding someone really, but had been praying into it... I do believe my husband was an answer to prayer (even if he doesn't LOL) both of us didn't expect to find love with each other but we both agree that the feelings we had for each other right from meeting up again were unlike anything we've ever felt before...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I met my OH in a pub one night. We were both in relationships at the time that we were unhappy with. We decided to take the plunge and end our relationships and get together. We've been together 3 years and getting married in September. We also have a 2year old son. I think some things are meant to be and he got me out of a very rubbish place at the time:love: Getting married 23/09/09
