Windows Mail is part of Windows Live Essentials, which must be downloaded separately.0

Mine doesn't have it http://download.live.com/

Solution:
Open the start menu and type 'essentials', click on the first item that comes up -> "go online to get windows live essentials"
From there you can download and install the windows mail program along with some of the other programs that microsoft left out of windows 7 (such as movie maker, messenger, and a photo editor).0 -
If you go to windows update, then click on optional updates, it should be on the list there, above all the language packs.0

What happened to outlook express?
What if you want nothing to do with Windows Live?
Microsoft trying to corral people in again?
Another fine example of how to lose friends and antagonise people.
They just don't seem to have a clue.
Thankfully I'm already on Thunderbird (and Linux)
but the differences in setting up OE and TB are day and night.
Hopefully some sensible 3rd party will come up with a free simple OE 'similiar' so everybody is gradually moving away from Microsoft.

I miss OE too, but why Microsoft couldn't incorporate a mail programme into Windows 7 I don't know, possibly they're hoping people will download the other crap on offer when you download it from the web.
So far my opinion of Windows 7 RC is it's a prettied-up version of Vista.Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before0
