Err just drive there, or go on a boat trip.

Then when you get there say to yourself "It'd be nicer if that old rustbucket wasn't on the beach"
    .....

  • it wouldnt be the shipwreck tour then:rolleyes:

It is a rusty heap of junk, spoiling a beautiful natural cove. The name of the boat trip is of little importance imho.

If the weather is bad- give the boat trip a miss - we were caught in a storm and its wasn't fun !!! - They could not get close to the shipwreck beach but some people swam ... or tried to- had to be puilled out !

we had a lovely view of a rust bucket in pathos..the kids got quite fond of it and we invented pirate stories every night:rolleyes:

    Went to Argassi in 1987.

Beautiful little place then,no louts. There was no bus to Lagonas then, just Zante town.Probably gone downhill now, like Puerto rico,Gran Caneria.
Would probably make me sad to see it now.
  • argassi is pretty lively now im afraid, laganas is the mad part though to be fair its still small compared to spanish resorts etc, the beach is worth it for a base but like i said above i prefer vasilikos for the greenery, long walk but nice to turtle beach.
i love zante town and its harbour though, watching the fish etc, if you drive out though its brilliant (befware the bees though on other side of island as they make honey so lots and lots of bees..the air is a constant hum:eek:)
remember a mad man who through himself on car in a small village to sell us wine, gave us a taste and it was like nectar..got home and the bottle was horrible:eek:...if it happens dont trust him:rotfl:

another man took me into his house to feed me broad beans and meet his wife:confused:
not keen on broad beans but he was desperate i have them:o
a nice site if you are lucky is the hummingbird hawkmoth, id never seen one before so was quite shocked..didnt know what it was till i looked it up on the internet at home!
