Told to break speed limit by my boss!!

Go to your company handbook and look up whether they have a "whistleblowing" procedure. If so, then follow it and report the matter to the appropriate person.
If your company has no such procedure then report this manager to a Director or someone else high up in the company. State that you are reporting his illegal activity (which could also endanger health and safety) and require them to do something about it.
As long as you make this disclosure in good faith then you will be protected from either dismissal or detriment due to doing so through the Protected Disclosure provisions in the Employment Rights Act.0 -
And what are the Police going to say when you say "my boss made me do it" ?
And what do you say to the parents of the child that you've just knocked down ?
Very dramatic wording on my part, but seriously mate, ignore your boss and drive within the legal confinements of the Law. Grow some b*lls and tell him to look at MSE. Nuff said.Opinions are like bottom holes, we all have one

Please do check the legality of your recording before you produce it. I think it's illegal for you to record a conversation with someone without telling them that you ae doing it. It certainly is over the phone.0

Not quite - as long as one party involved in the phone call knows that the call is being recorded, then no law is being broken. However, for the recording to be admissable as evidence in court, both sides must know the call is being recorded."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
Surely if you drive an LGV you will have a digital tachocard. Correct?
So every infraction you rack up will be digitally stored for when the police or worse VOSA request it.
So what will you tell them? 'The boss made me do it:rolleyes:' Bet you that they will not believe you, or care who asked you to speed.I have learned that success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has had to overcome while trying to succeed. Yes we all can, but getting a ticket from a speed camera is not going to make any difference, would you really knowingly drive through a spped camera 'cause my boss told me to?'
Thought you had to be over 21 to have a HGV licence not in pre school.0 -

Can you please tell us where this is stated in law.0 -

I also don't understand your comment about being 21 and pre school unless being corrected has riled you and you are try to have a childish dig.

as suggested in this post do you have a company handbook or any employee assistance scheme that could help you out (usually provided by larger companies).
If you are working for a small company then you may have a problem and will have to tell your boss that before you will do anything you want it in writing before deciding what you will do. I know this is a difficult situation to be in as you have only been there for two months.
Best of luck and post back to let us know how you are getting on.0
