Does anyone know anything about Prize Reactor - they say they have my details from one of their partner websites. Any ideas on whether or not they're genuine - don't sound it to me tbh. Sorry if this has been asked before.

    Thanks

They are owned by these people

    http://wrm-media.com/

a lead generation company. They say

    "WRM-Media own over
20 million good email records & 15 million postal addresses.
The majority of our marketing lists are in English speaking countries including the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the USA & Canada. We have recently grown an impressive marketing list in Spain as well and furthermore we impressively hold records in 174 countries in the world
All of our integrated marketing lists hold premium quality email data thanks to the nature of our data capture opportunities. With a vast amount of behavioural data overlaid, the majority is collected from the hugely successful friend-finder website, Who-Remembers-Me.com & in recent times our suite of Prize Reactor lead generation sites: Prize Reactor (UK), PrizeReactor (AU) & PrizeReactor (US)"
  • Wow, thanks lilias, you certainly know the biz on Prize Reactor and WRM-Media. I think they have me from a survey site maybe. Think I'll give them a wide berth for now.

Thanks for the info - very useful to know.

Just received this message in my email: Scam I think so email address looks wrong, sorry if on wrong board.

This IS a scam. I actually worked for coke's bottling division which is actually Coca Cola Enterprises. It's based in Peterborough. The other main offices in Hammersmith. They definitely wouldn't use an aol address.

Asda have posted on their wall

WARNING: Please do not respond to Facebook messages or adverts inviting you to "claim" a "£500 Christmas Voucher". This is nothing to do with us and may be an attempt to capture your personal information.

    That sounds very dodgy.
  • Hi,

I got a phone call off someone saying that I have been entered into the final of something. They told me that I can get a lot of lottery tickets if I paid a monthly sum, and I would be 1 out of 100 people to be in this 'Syndicate'. This did sound fairly suspicious, and just wanted to know if this had happened to anyone else, and if it is a scam or not.

I get this sort of thing at least once a month. Most annoying. :)

sorry if this has been posted.

x2 fake asda comp has been reported on - one asks you to facebook like & then enter your details for free £500 asda vouchers.

the other one is a fake asda comp for £2,000 ( it looks like a normal/standard comp  )

both steal your details and might* sign you up to premium rate phone number subscription services (another good reason to use a pay-as you go mobile)
