    Dear Winner,
The online Coca-Cola Manchester Zone A3, UK Annual Promo draws was conducted by a random selection of email addresses from an exclusive list of 29,031 E-mail addresses

    Ref Number: EAASL/941OYI/02/SHYN
    Batch Number: 12/25/0035
    Ticket Number: 025-11464992-750

You as well as the other winners are therefore to receive a cash prize of
2 Million Great Bristain Pounds each from the total payout.

To begin the claims please contact your claim agent and send this information to him.

    1. Full name and address:
    2. Country:
    3. Tel and fax number:
    4. Occupation:
    5. Your Reference and Batch number at the top of this mail:

    Mr. Maxwell Austin,
    COCA COLA PROMO CLAIMS AGENT
    Tel:+447024082331
    Email: cocacolaclaimagent2007@yahoo.com

    Thank you and congratulations!!!"

My first clue was the "dear winner" salutation - they obviously haven't got my name off Coca Cola!

The second clue was "Great Bristain". - I am only posting this because it is inevitable that someone will be conned by this character, but probably not a MSEer
  • Hi i work for coca cola enterprises and recieved this internal email while at work the other day, if you receive the fake coca cola lottery email there are contact details for you to send the fake email as the company is working with the police to try to stamp these scams out. please read below.

    Important - Hoax email scam
We are aware that our corporate identity and that of other well known
companies is being used in relation to hoax e-mails being sent randomly to
people throughout the world. The emails falsely claim that the recipient
has been selected for a cash prize lottery/promotion. Neither Coca-Cola
Enterprises Ltd or The Coca-Cola Company are involved in a lottery
promotion of this type and we would strongly advise recipients not to
engage in any communication with the originators. We are actively working
with the Police in an effort to detect those responsible.

If you receive or are sent any emails of this kind, please post or email
them to the Corporate Affairs Team (corporate_affairs@ge.cokecce.com) in
Uxbridge and we will deal with it centrally.

Anyone can report these scams, so not just employees.
    Hope this helps

Just recieved a call from CLC saying I had won a holiday from a survey I had taken part in before christmas which I was a bit dubious about having read this thread once before. Unfortunately (he said) I hadn't won 1st prize to the Carribean but a runners up prize to Europe, Spain, Canaries or Austria. I checked it out by phoning the freephone number which was an answerphone for Club La Costa checked out the web site and yep its basically timeshare. So I've not bothered. Like many on here I steer clear of holiday comps for this reason. I dread unfamiliar numbers on the phone you never know what idiots gonna try and hassle you next:mad:

Sorry to have to advise you but its almost certainly a scam.

Have you ever bought a ticket for, or entered the Irish Lottery? if not, how can you have won €350,000? If its a lottery, what difference does occupation or income make? The number seems to be a UK mobile +447*****, surely, you'd have to ring a republic of Ireland number.

Sorry to be the bearer of disapointing news.
