Well done Haydn (via Wilf), he did really well – I had to google dog license, I gather it’s a good thing!
Thanks SunshineSheil for your kind words. She is a very strange woman. She rather charmingly told me that Tim should stay here for two days of our holiday (we are going away in a few weeks) to blitz the flat. What a great holiday that would be – not! I told her that it’s his holiday too, and he needs it more than me as he is working so hard, and that the housework is now my job and not his. She went on about if for ages and I had to keep repeating myself before the message got through!

Oh dear Rose, that's doesn't sound good at al. Are you ok now? I wonder what her intention is? Or if it's that she's just a complete witch?
Is she thinking that you'd feel better if you and Tim got on top of the flat? I know it's not great for him when it's his holiday, but if it's impacting you.....? I dunno, I s'pose I'm just trying to think what her intentions could be?????

Having a bit of a catch-up on here before I go back to the dreaded workplace
Rosepink - I'm ok really. It's just an old injury (that I have no idea how I did it!), that normally only flares up if I go bowling. It's a pain all down my thumb, and on the fleshy bit of my hand at the bottom of my thumb. It swells up, hardens and goes a bit blue! I'm sure it sounds worse than it is!
re, your horrible lady.. I'm not sure why you have them round, but surely it's none of her business who tidies your house and when.. I'd have reacted in the same way personally! Can you phone the nice lady later and ask her what she thought?
Mudbath - I don't think you should be moving any more towels until you've seen your doctor, you could be making it worse! Have a warm bath (but only if you can get out again!! lol)
Lol at Quillion. That sounds good, can we add it PigPen? Haha!
You lot talk too much, I've only read back to the top of the page, and I've got to go back to work now! I will have another go later, except then I'll have this afternoon to catch up on! Ohmydays :rotfl:

Justamum - ouch! Your poor OH, that sounds painful - I hope they get him sorted.
Rosepink - hugs to you. You should be proud of yourself for standing up to her as that's sometimes really hard. Don't think of it as overreacting, think of it as the first step towards you becoming a strong and independent woman who won't take carp!
Thanks for the good wishes about my stupid back. The doctor was fab and said to try and keep moving which is what I do anyway. She's given me very strong painkillers so I can move without as much pain....the more I move the quicker it improves. Feel very positive that it will heal quickly or else i'll have words with it!!!
Lunch decluttered and plates put in the dishwasher. I'm just going to do little bits as I don't do 'resting'! Lol! xx0 -
Pauper - you made me laugh about the bath. I'd love to have one but I really don't think i'd get out again! Can you imagine....i'd be found rather wrinkly when my DH got home at 6pm!!!
The good news is that my doctor changed my shoes for me...i'd put my walking boots on this morning and couldn't take them off! I think that's when the doctor realised it was bad! I'm allowed to lift things if it's lighter than a bag of sugar!
Flying - i'm going to sort out my new yankee tarts that have arrived....yeahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! xx0 -
Mudders I'm really pleased the doc was good. Good for you not resting! Me, I'd be lying down... any excuse for a nap!!MMSSB Club Founder Member

That's the thing tho, the flat's not a problem to me. I'm quite enjoying getting it sorted out. And I had already told her that.
I've just talked to my support worker (the nice one) and she said that the CPN was trying to find out what I want to do in the future and whether being a housewife for the rest of my life would be enough for me. Apparently she does care, as she was upset in the car and worried that she had upset me. I think her intentions are good, but unfortunately, I find it hard to see beyond her abrupt way of speaking and her tactless way of talking.
I feel bad that she was upset and I wish the whole thing hadn't happened really. I don't particularly want to see her again. My support worker knows her better than I do and feels that she wasn't criticising me at all so perhaps I am overly sensitive. I don't always see things straight. That's part of being ill I suppose. It's a difficult situation.
Anyway, my brain hurts so I'm going to stop rambling on about it! I will go and have a nap and do some flying afterwards
ETA: Thanks for all your supportive and kind words! It means so much to me!"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."
