Oh Shaun, that's awful news about the lodger. I am sure plenty of folks will want to stop with you ( well once you are rid of Flu):o
How did you find the last lodger? Could you advertise?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Its the jointness thats jumping out at me. And whether Mr Bob has learned his lesson....
It's a rather cute way of getting round the rule that you should not encourage debtors to borrow from relatives."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0 -

I reckon the loan would go on bank related stuff and considering it is all his stuff then....i am thinking i must be mental either that or the one good brain cell has gone.:rotfl:
Just totting up last night ...as you do when you can't sleep.
He has overdraft(19%), Tesco card(o%), natwest visa(0% was a higher limit but they took it off him when he missed a payment) and natwest mastercard(16%) Oh and the joint loan. Crumbs or
I don't even want to add the total up:o but would be in the 20k region and no doubt that's what they would want to put on a loan...which would be over 7 years i reckon. Too much.
If i overpaid by £1k a month that gives me a 2 year margin. God i feel sick.
So Current loan is finished in 18 months time, and that is relatively low now so maybe i could begin by using his bonus to clear the overdraft and tackling the higher card first and i need to see when the 0 % finishes. He needs to earn extra, although considering he has zilch energy levels i doubt that he will.So mucho frugal belt tightening going on.
I will of course overpay my stuff too. Just not eat anything which will be good for my figure anyway.:D
I need to set aside a work budget, and am going to do that from the expenses i receive next month. Just will be tight for a couple of months because i get little pay over the summer hols.
Will work it all out properly later.
Have a headache now.
Hope you all have a good day, going to get some paracetamol and a brew.

mis read that as Do you get the Picture Loan
Take that as a sign Bob - the vote is a No here.
As for holidays (says she who nips over to Africa 4 times a year ) I remember reading that you work 48 weeks a year (less for teachers!) to buy your home, and then the first opportunity you get, you fly away from it
It made me appreciate my place more - but perhaps that's only me. And perhaps you should take no notice of me, who used to have a negative carbon footprint until Popeye took this job

I have read the signs and can guarentee there will be no loan.:rotfl:
I did look forward to running away for a fortnight...well 10 days ( i am no good with fortnights)
The tent will be out if the rain stops:D
It is black outside now, so much for the sunshine and i have a pile of washing.:o That's the one thing they struggle with doing, seems like it is too hard to put in and put on airer..still can't grumble with being looked after ( yep i am in need of care:rolleyes::rotfl:)
See that's what i love MSE for thanks for all the feedback. Sort of confirms i am on the right track really.:DBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
