I have a joint mortgage, my ex left six months ago, does she have the right to enter the property or move back in, even though she has not paid anything towards the mortgage?

You both jointly own the property.
You are both jointly liable for the debt (in other words, if she isn't paying you have to pay it all).
Unless some sort of legal agreement is in place barring her from entering the property you shouldn't stop her from doing so.
Time to get a solicitor on the case. Enjoy the bill

Though nothing prevents you from changing the locks anyway to discourage her...No free lunch, and no free laptop

If someone lost a set of keys to their house it would be wise to change the barrels to the locks!0

I wasn't suggesting that the OP would permanently lock her out. But at the very least it would put the onus on her to gain entry, rather than just wandering in at any time of her choosing. After 6 months, presumably she would have removed any property of hers that she wanted back.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Of course if you chaged the locks and she tried to get in she could equally get a locksmith out and change the locks and not give you a key...
Get legal advise before you start antagonising her

I'm still puzzled as to why she might come back after 6 months? She left voluntarily, after that length of time the OP has the right to properly secure his property.
If the OP had thrown her out and changed the locks the next day, that would be a different scenario. No free lunch, and no free laptop

The reason she might want to come back is because the Housing benefit has been suspended and she may have know where to live0
