lol... exactly....
so its ok for Banks and Building Societies to make loads of money out of us by their charges and their twist on the terms and conditions on insurances etc,
so now that we are playing the same game, they obviously dont like it...
i should re-phrase that, as Martin would put it we are thinking just outside the box and being Savvy, and seeing how We can make money out of them .....LEGALLY......Work to live= not live to work0 -

You obviously have some sort of psychological problem. I would suggest you go and visit your doctor and ask for psychiatric help at your earliest opportunity.
If and when the term and conditions are changed I shall look at the way I run my account.
I do wonder though how I am making a “mockery of the system” which is a system set up by Halifax PLC.0 -

Perhaps you ought to be asking Halifax?shazkhan111 wrote: »ummm, no one answered my initial question!
In the meantime, maybe it's something to do with Halifax 'bank working days' which your account T&C's define as......any day between 9am and 5pm which is not a Saturday, Sunday or English bank or public holiday.

Your initial question was:shazkhan111 wrote: »ummm, no one answered my initial question!any ideas?
Very clear ideas given include:Was it a cheque that cleared in June that you paid in on 31st May?
Did you pay in via an ATM or paying in box, where the funds may not have been cleared the same day?31st was a Sunday - I don't know how the time of day works regarding cut off with Faster payments, but I think it's 5pm on a weekday that you're charged if you're overdrawn after
Definitely ideas, so your question has been answered.
Regardless as to whether or not the ideas were right.0 -
Does anyone know if the £1000 [required to be paid into the Reward Current Account each month] can come from a Halifax savings account, or does it have to be £1000 from an account outside Halifax?0

It can come from another Halifax account (which is handy if you have 3 Reward accounts).Does anyone know if the £1000 [required to be paid into the Reward Current Account each month] can come from a Halifax savings account, or does it have to be £1000 from an account outside Halifax?0
