halifax reward current account-£5

I opened a halifax reward current account 6 weeks ago, i received £5 on 1st April and 2nd May, however i credited £1000 in to the account on the 31st May to receive my £5 reward for June but this was not paid, any ideas? :(

Was it a cheque that cleared in June

Was it a cheque that cleared in June that you paid in on 31st May?

Did you pay in via an ATM or paying in box, where the funds may not have been cleared the same day?

31st was a Sunday - I don't know how the time of day works regarding cut off with Faster payments, but I think it's 5pm on a weekday that you're charged if you're overdrawn after

This is a great return for an investment of £1,000 even if you leave the £1,000 in for a few days.

We have learnt from others that even if you put the £1000 through this account and leave it there for nano-seconds then it still works, you get the fiver.

Now I pay my £1,000 in on the 2nd of each month by faster payment and send £1,005 back to it's source by chq from my Halifax Account, thus leaving it in for 3 days.

Why on earth would someone leave it to the last day of the month - this last day being a Sunday - staggers me.

Why not send it back by faster payment immediately? Ok it will take 3 payments as the Halifax at present seem to have a £500 FP limit.
That way you dont need to leave your chair!

Just watch and see when the terms and conditions are changed very, very soon to stop people like you making a mockery of the system.

what thunderductuk means he's panicking that his profit from his shares will go down...so he's gone butt kissing to his bosses

just ignore him, as if yoy look at all his posts regarding Hailfax and Bank of Scotland, he's been very rude to people, who are just doing what they are aloud to to get their £5 a month...according to the terms and conditions that Halifax have stated...

i would recommend if EASTERNTHUNDERUK makes any remarks that offend you or be-little's you, just report him...

It is however true that they'll change the conditions at some point to ensure people are actually using the account, like for instance requiring 2 direct debits each month (this is something Citibank have as a condition to get their Citigold account for free)

but in the meantime we are doing nothing wrong... so there is no need for EASTERNTHUNDERUK to be so rude to people. it is blantantly obvious he works for the Halifax, and he is only on-line, and all his posts are condensed within a 20 minute time scale....

plus even with direct debits etc, it is still an easy £5 a month

May I suggest you read the forum etiquette, there is no need for you to be so rude on posts, such as the thread you commented on yesterday.

Don't see why you registered to be honest if that's what your here to do
