Orange Broadband - BT line required?

Hi folks!
I am moving into a new flat in 4 weeks time, and so I am currently shopping around for phone/broadband etc.
I am an Orange mobile customer and am eligible for their free broadband. However reading the small print on their broadband website it states that a BT line is required.
There is a BT line in the flat, however we do not know the current state of it (BT customer services were useless) and it may need to be reactivated. I have been reading on these forums that you can get a line reactivated for free if you pay line rental to the Post Office.
So my question is... if we pay line rental to the post office, can we still get Orange broadband?
Cheers, and thanks for your help!

I qualify for free Orange BB-but I wouldn't have it if they paid me to use it.
That ratings chart sums it up. You get what you pay for-so if you don't have to pay for it, you can expect very little in the way of service. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
^ if your on a non Orange unbundled exchange it can be worth it ! Orange are trialling 20MBPS at the momentSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0
