Or Vauxhall perhaps. Nice British car maker, with erm, Saab (Sweeden) and Fiat (Italy) mixed in too... lol.
Are you having a off day or something? Nothing about these statements is true.
With regards to the Op's question i think everythings been covered except nissan. They have a sunderland plant but can't remember what they make there.0 -
How about an Elise, quick, economical and built in England. Only half joking :beer:My mum would like something that gets as many mpg as possible but still has decent size engine (1.4+, i would say). She currently has a peugeot 307 estate which she has decided is too big. I think a hatchback is more of what she's looking for now!0 -
Mum quite likes the Nissan Note
But still got a bit more looking around to do! Kavanne

My Father in Law (ex) will only buy a British car from a british company, think he is a bit bu$$ered now...lol.
Drives his old Stag (very badly can go a whole journey in second gear )0 -
But even if you buy a car 'built' in the UK, how many of the components are made here as well? Car factories are just large assembly plants, all the main components (engines, gearboxes, suspension etc) are shipped in from other plants or other suppliers, many of them abroad, where the actual manufacturing takes place).
By all means buy a car assembled in the UK, but don't kid yourself that it's 'British made'.No free lunch, and no free laptop
