Hi Paul
Many people have had a misspent youth to some degree, but the beautiful thing about life it that you Live and You LEARN.....
You sound like you have a mountain to climb, but you're already on the path and taking one step at a time. Reading between the lines, it seems that you've already overcome greater problems than this.
I have no doubt that you will get there and it will taste sooooo sweet when you do.
I like your Cherokee philosophy, just keep focusing on that. Life has an odd way of working itself out if we have a little faith in the unknown...
Maybe, there is someone on the Mortgages board who might have a nugget of knowledge that you don't know aboutWorth a try?

I didn't think Abbey had anything to worry about financially - I thought they were owned by Santander (are they not the only 'safe' bank left now?) so you would of thought they would have been a bit happier to help.
If I was channel 4's secret milionaire I would write you a cheque as it sounds like you really need a break but your post is inspiring and I'm sure you'll be able to overcome your troubles!Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10
