However, all of this is an absolute drop in the ocean to the hell I went through in my misspent youth. I take great comfort from the knowledge that no-one else can do anything to me that is worse than the things I have already done to myself. Therefore, I have learned how to feel reasonably happy even in the face of adversity.

    Hi Paul

Many people have had a misspent youth to some degree, but the beautiful thing about life it that you Live and You LEARN.....

You sound like you have a mountain to climb, but you're already on the path and taking one step at a time. Reading between the lines, it seems that you've already overcome greater problems than this.
I have no doubt that you will get there and it will taste sooooo sweet when you do.
I like your Cherokee philosophy, just keep focusing on that. Life has an odd way of working itself out if we have a little faith in the unknown...
Maybe, there is someone on the Mortgages board who might have a nugget of knowledge that you don't know about  Worth a try?

    All the Best, Mac x

I didn't think Abbey had anything to worry about financially - I thought they were owned by Santander (are they not the only 'safe' bank left now?) so you would of thought they would have been a bit happier to help.

If I was channel 4's secret milionaire I would write you a cheque as it sounds like you really need a break but your post is inspiring and I'm sure you'll be able to overcome your troubles!

Sashybo - I feel for you hun. I worked nights in a pet food factory when I was a student - it was a killer (good money tho). Just think about the money ;)

Thanks mac - yeah the money was the only thing that kept me going! Over now thankfully. :j

Just a 50p pad for me today, probably will be 50ps for the next while.
