You're not alone - it's Reading/Leeds next week and I REALLY want to go - but can't...
Nevermind, when we're all debt free, we can board the PAD wagon and go on a World tour of Festivals! (I quite fancy Coachella if we can chuck in a flight as well)
I havent been for a few years now about 3 to be exact, i love the festivals, would love to go to glastonbury next year with it being the anniversary but i just cant justify it at the mo.!!
By the way forgot to say OH got a parking ticket yesterday, so frustating:mad: only a few minutes over, but ive disputed on the grounds of her being heavily preggers and having trouble getting back to the car in time!!, whats my chances?, ill keep you updated if you like!!0 -

I know what you mean, I am sure I have only made a little more money than I did before but I feel like I am so better off.....................car is going into the garage in a week for timing belt (£230) and I initially panicked but then thought hay I can pay cash or credit card!!! boy was that a weird feeling and not worrying if I'm going to have enough to pay as I can pay now???????? Megga feeling :j
I had 2 C sections, one emergency  and the other electivevia epidural, it was great and I so wanted to see my insides but they wouldn't let me

Yes def Sue,

This experience will hopefully be better for her, few tips...............????
I am sure you have been given loads BUT.................make sure her bed in the hospital is as low to the ground as it can go, you use one foot off the bed, on the floor to lever yourself up, its incredibly painful if they raise your bed and you can't reach...........I had to sit bolt upright in the middle of the night, cos my little legs were a dangling in mid air.......................Get up as soon as you can and shuffle, bent over, keep doing it even when it hurts, its the best way to get mobile again.
Are you going in with her..................if so be prepared to go white and faint...............its quite hot in the ops room, my OH nearly hit the deck and the nurses were more worried about him than me :rotfl:
Oh and the best bit, no funny shaped heads, they are gorgeous from the moment they appearmagic

Thanks very much sue some great tips there, especially the bit at the end, my first son's head was quite odd but thankfully has now returned to normal!!, I was bad enough the first time, going to try not to look at the whole stomach being open bit and stay up top to support her!!.0 -
Hi hun. I've been doing low fat / low sugar on a budget for a good few weeks now! I've been meal planning for 2 weeks ahead and then writing out my shopping list based on that. The Old Style board has really useful ideas eg a handful of oats in a bolognaise thickens it up and makes it go a long way. I then freeze half for a meal the following week.
I've been watching portion sizes, eating wholewheat pasta and rice and adding extra veg or salad to bulk meals out. Oatmeal crackers are low GI and i have cottage cheese or a bit of philadelphia on there for snacks. Fresh fruit with natural yoghurt is nice. I allow myself 1 real treat a day when my LO is in bed such as choccie or an ice cream - i'm not into self torture by deprivation lol
Everything in moderation is the key. There's no point going on a diet that you can't maintain for life. I've also started going swimming. Prior to hitting 30 i could cut down on my bread intake for a couple of weeks and the weight would drop off. Since then exercise seems to be a necessity as well as health-ish eating.
I love being preggers, i can stick my tummy out as much as i like without cringing
Good luck
Thanks Hopeful, neve really been onto the old style boards so I think I'll do that just now!
I can't go swimming as I've got really sensitive skin and the chlorine makes it raw for days. The doc prescribed some epaderm and diprobase (I dunno how to spell them correctly!) but they didn't help! I get access to the gym at work but staff members aren't allowed anymore until after 8pm which is a bit late for me to be exercising!!
Have you tried skinny cow ice cream? The triple choc waasn't very nice but the mint was quite tasty! Even my low fat hating OH liked the mint ice lollies!Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10
