I do global payroll coordination and sometimes the same for statutory financial statements (SFS) and corporate income tax (CIT). Bascially, each country does the work, and (with payroll) they send it to us for review ( a sense check) before it is sent to the client.
I used to do more of the SFS and CIT stuff in the UK and that works differently. It was more ensuring that the countries met deadlines, and updating the client, providing reports etc.
All in all, it's pretty boring really, but I enjoy it and I'm good at it too!lol
You've bamboozled me with science there Euro!!

A woman visited a plastic surgeon who told her about a
new procedure called 'The Knob,' where a small
knob is placed at the top of the woman's head and
could be turned to tighten up her skin and produce the
effect of a brand new face-lift. Of course, the woman
wanted 'The Knob.'
Over the course of the years, the woman tightened the knob and the effects were wonderful, the woman remained young looking and vibrant.
After fifteen years, the woman returned to the surgeon with
two problems.
'All these years, everything has been working just
fine. I've had to turn the knob many times and
I've always loved the results. But now I've
developed two annoying problems: First, I have these
terrible bags under my eyes and the knob won't get rid
of them.'
The doctor looked at her closely and said, 'Those
aren't bags, those are your breasts.'
She said, 'Well, I guess there's no point in
asking about the goatee.'

Hahaha, it's the 3 letter acronyms that get me! My firm LOVES them and there are so many of them. On my first day in the UK office, I was given an A4 piece of paper which was covered in them....both sides! hahahaha
And yeah, the plan is to continue up the ladder. But not too far, I enjoy having a personal life! lol. My friend's dad used to be Partner at this firm and they do get paid very well at that level (750k plus!), but.......you are ALWAYS working! S0d that! hahahaFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Ah, for me, it's too much to give up. I saw the UK partner do it. He has a family and he barely sees them!
I've even had emails from him at 2, 3 and 4am in the past! His Blackberry is always on and he's always answering questions etc. Too much work and not enough life.
Now, what I really want is 750k plus, for sitting on my @rse all day. Any suggestions??!! :rotfl::rotfl:February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Oooh, I'm intrigued! How did you do that?
Were you being a cheeky wee lassie MaryDoll?!:rotfl:I had a bit of a troll moment!
