It worries me that people post their first posts asking perfectly innocent questions, and the idiotic/childish responses they get may steer them away from the forums and the support their looking for! It really does make me angry some of the things that are said (and I haven't even read the thread in question!)

Martin posted a thread a few days ago which was along the lines of 'don't pick on new users'! They are wanting to introduce a card system which gives people warnings if they start acting like they are above themselves!
I also don't understand the users on here that make comments about Martin..Why are they on his website if they don't believe/agree/take note the things he has to say?
I understand that he's 'just' a journalist but he makes alot of sense and without this website there would be 1000's of people out there who wouldn't have been helped.Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

As for Martin, you are again right! If it hadn't have been for him and this site, goodness knows how many tens of thousands of debt I would have!

100% agree angelic. thank fook this was the first thread that popped up in the forum list when I first logged on in Jan! Would have run a mile if I had posted up a "help, I'm in debt post" and got hammered to bits by those guys. Why can't people be nice to posters (like PAD!) and offer a supportive word or two? Even if an OP needs a few helpful truths ; that can be done constructively surely, rather than "you got into debt, its your own fault and you are so bad and dirty and a loser" (which is what they were writing on that thread and others IMHO)Debt Free 25th August 2010 with PAD !!TARGETS ::D

From what I've read on the loans and credit card boards, DFW is viewed as the board you go to for hugs and kisses...they seem to view us all as scum trying to find loopholes in our credit agreements which will get us out of paying what we owe :rolleyes:Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

I think it's the knowledge that makes them the way they are  I think alot of them work in banks or financial institutes where they obviously need to know what they are talking about but they expect everyone to know what they know!Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10
