    Hello everyone!
Not been on again for a few days - been very hectic getting everything unpacked, and having to share the internet between 6 people doesnt make it easy!! OH and i have decided we are going to buy one of those dongle things as i cant live without the internet lol.
Have already managed to pay an extra £100 off CC thanks to the savings we have made from moving.
Hopefully will be able to update daily now though!!

Hi all and hello to the newbies :D payday today :j

We believe you DT that your only competitive for our benefit :rotfl::p

Where's Terri???? still not sorted her internet???

A young man moved into a new apartment of his own and went to the lobby to
put his name on his mailbox.

While there, an attractive young lady came out of the apartment next to
    the mailboxes, wearing a robe.

The boy smiled at the young woman and she started a conversation with him.

As they talked, her robe slipped open, and it was obvious that she had
nothing else on. The poor kid broke into a sweat trying to maintain eye
contact After a few minutes, she placed her hand on his arm and said,
'Let's go to my apartment,... I hear someone coming.'

He followed her into her apartment; she closed the door and leaned against
it, allowing her robe to fall off completely.

Now nude, she purred at him, 'What would you say is my best feature?'

Flustered and embarrassed, he finally squeaked, 'It 's got to be your ears.'

    Astounded, and a little hurt she asked, 'My ears? Look at these breasts;
they are full and 100% natural. I work out every day and my butt is firm
and solid. Look at my skin - no blemishes anywhere. How can you think
that the best part of my body is my ears?'

Clearing his throat, he stammered .... 'Outside, when you said you heard
someone coming... that was me.' :o

Hi All (the following is copied and pasted from my diary thread as I am too tired and too squiffy to think of something new to write!!!)

It has been a very long and tiring day - I have only been home about half an hour after going out at 6:30am this morning!

The end of the working day was quite nice though - firstly, at the Exam Board I was thanked for all my hard work (the adminstration for this particular course is shortly to be handed over to someone else (long story but basically because of restructuring within the uni) as part of the official business (under Any Other Business) which is good because it means that it goes in the minutes - which I write anyway - which will make good evidence for my next Performance Development Review. It is always good to feel appreciated! They also presented me with a bottle of champagne! I was dumbstruck and actually quite emotional!

Then I was invited to join some of the examiners for a pint. So I have had 2 pints of lager, neither of which I bought so it hasn't cost me a penny!:money:

Feeling a bit squiffy actually! I had a long wait for a train so I decided to treat myself to a BK spicy bean burger meal at the station - which means I haven't got to cook! :T

So not a bad day really!

Feeling very very very tired so will be off to bed very soon!

    Night all!!!

Hi all, its getting late and I have come down to secretly post, OH in bad mood, men.
I have copied this from a site on GI indexes, so hopefully it will explain better than me
"Not all carbohydrate foods are created equal, in fact they behave quite differently in our bodies. The glycemic index or GI describes this difference by ranking carbohydrates according to their effect on our blood glucose levels. Choosing low GI carbs - the ones that produce only small fluctuations in our blood glucose and insulin levels - is the secret to long-term health reducing your risk of heart disease and diabetes and is the key to sustainable weight loss"

I lied about the bread vs Ryvita...........................well not quite

10g of Ryvita is 1 slice which contains 0.3g of sugar
40-ish g of Warburtons white sliced is 1 slice of bread which contains 0.9g of sugar

So you only need to eat 3 Ryvita's and you have the equivalent of 1 slice of bread

Now their GI rating are as follows
    Ryvita -for 25g -69
    Bread -for 30g -71
Now to compare like for like, so 30g of Ryvita has a GI of (69 divided by 25 (gives 1g) x 30g) equals 82.8 (weight for weight)

3 slices of Ryvita may have the same sugar content (0.9g) but it's GI (rate at which sugar is absorbed) is far higher and the faster the sugar is absorbed the worse the body reacts.
The faster the increase in blood sugar in the body, the faster it falls after eating, thus inducing the body to think its going to starve. The brain then sends signals out to our body to eat (hunger)

    Hope that explains

  • Hi All,

Absolutely shattered tonight. Just got in from sports club after work so all in all I've been out of the house for 15 hours!

Another small PaD of £1 for me DT. Money has just disappeared this month - think I may have to start a spending diary as I just can't think what I've spent it on. Oh well - received an unexpected cheque today so should have something to PaD once that clears.

Hope everyone is well and feeling positive - it's Friday in less than an hour peeps!
