  • A fabulous £60 PAD to evil monument today - its my snowball and while I was going to wait til the end of the month it is calling to me saying "buy wine - buy wine" :D so I paid it onto my CC to stop me using it.

Had a rubbish day as it was confirmed that I have NO work next week and not even any flower deliveries - hate freelancing - why why why did I choose this ;) so the wine call was quite large. Thought it best to take away the temptation. Luckily I have some vodka in :rotfl:

Have a good Friday night all.

    Hi Sue,

I've cut waaay down on my portion size, got the scales out to measure rice and pasta so I know how many points it is! There's been days where I'm not reaching my points limit.

There's been the odd day where I've had a twix ice cream or a handful of tangfastics (yummy!) and one day a couple of weeks ago that I got a chinese but not been eating late at night, I'm drininking loads of water

It sounds to me as though you are not cheating very much and having small portions will only help in the short term, when the effect wears off you will have to reduce your portions again to loose more weight.
I hope this helps, I will try and explain a bit of the science as well so you understand :D

    For the first two weeks
    -eat only from this list
    Vegetables.....................No Potatoes
Lean Meat......................tbh I do include good sausages and beef burgers but cook them in a G Foreman grill
    Fish
    Eggs
    Salad.............................No tomatoes
A small piece of low far cheese...................yuck, so I have a very tiny piece of good chedder(about 6 tiny cubes)
Nuts.........................None salted ones and only about 6 a day

Anything that comes in those catagories is ok....................now for the hard part.....................................no fruit or dairy (yoghurt/milk) or rice or pasta or bread or chocolate or ice cream or potatoes and NO sauces/gravy/mayo/salad cream. Fat free salad dressing is ok

    On week 3
Add an apple a day, if you don't like apples then go for pears or oranges NO soft fruit at this stage. If you still loose weight aftre week 3, you can eat fruit
    On week 4
Add a yoghurt a day. If you still loose weight aftre week 4 you can have dairy products..................low fat but NO ice cream
    After week 4
Add one food a week, see if you loose weight after each food and if you do then you are ok with that.............NEVER add more than one food a week otherwise you will not know what you are allergic to :T

The last time I did this I added bread on week 5.........I had 3 slices of bread in that week and I gained 2 lbs.............not 3 a day but 3 in the week. It also blew my stomach really bad;y and things bunged up :p

In week 10 I tried dark chocolate and still lost weight but Ice cream is another story, loaded with sugar..................see the science below:eek:
    The Science behind it
I mentioned blood sugars, I hope this will make sense.....................ok you have just eaten...............little soldiers come out and attack the food to release the goodness/badness. IF that food is covered in fibre, the soldiers have to work hard to break the food down and as they do the sugar is slowly released into the body, as each molecule of sugar becomes free the soldiers attack it and beat it up. Now if that food is a refined food (less fibre) the sugar molecules are everywhere and the soldiers are overwhelmed, so the body reacts by putting the excess broken down sugar in to storage cells (fat cells). The body still believes that someday we may starve, so it protects itself by have a fat cell storage system in places that will not hinder us in our movements........................bums, tums, hips, thighs and finally boobs :rotfl:God's joke. I do hope you get the drift

A shocker for you..... chips are healthier than a jacket potato:eek::eek::eek:
Why.....................when a potato is microwaved or baked for a long time the cooking process breaks up the fibre in the potato thus releasing the sugar in it......................when you fry fat home made chips the cooking is short and the fibre remains in tacked.

There is more sugar in a slice of bread than a spoon of sugar!!!

Ice cream is high octane liquid sugar

Alcohol is the most refined sugar and thats where beer bellies comes from

Watch some fruit, tropical fruit has a lot less fibre than our home grown types and therefore the sugar is released quicker

Porridge is fantastic the ReadyBrek ad was spot on, it is very high in fibre and sugar is released very slowly

Eggs!!!! Some may worry over this BUT I was over 18 st 4 weeks ago and I am 5ft 4. My cholesterol is 3.8...................shocked the living daylight out of my GP, who had lectured me over food to eat to lower this only the week before. Eggs have both good and bad cholesterol in, they are a very balanced food.

I am so so so sorry if you have found this boring and just ignore me if I am overstepping myself, but if like me, you are eating sparsely and over the years have suffered abuse cos people think you must eat enough for 10 people and you have been told you need self control.................well I hope this helps.............................you are more than likely allergic to a food group

Mine's all forms of wheat :heartsmil

Looks like they got things up and running a bit earlier than expected.
I've now got two very long hard days work coming up. It's my largest job and takes all weekend. It pays well but I won't be fit for much come Sunday evening/Monday morning. Also, it looks like my tax bill will end up a bit overdue. I've had a bit of unexpected outlay to replace and repair some vital work equipment and have a one week holiday coming up in August. Self-employment is about cash flow as money in other people's banks doesn't pay my bills. I'm having to make sure there's enough in the bank for the cards and loans as the taxman doesn't charge £12 a pop for a payment being a bit late nor do they trash your credit rating for it.
I'm starting to feel a bit like the juggler who has one ball too many. I'm sure there's a rude joke in there somewhere :D
