hi pixie1234! :hello:you are in the right place - and working out how much you owe is the first important step to making it better. :money: have you posted a statement of earnings (is that what it's called?) anywhere on MSE? if not, that may be a good way to see if you can cut back on any of your usual outgoings. i'm sure someone who knows more than me :o will be along soon with more specific advice, but just wanted to say hello!

Thanks to everyone...im new here and have been burying my head in the sand for too long...cant stand the sleepless nights any more so ive decided to try to sort myself out and address my debt...£23,000 in total with just £180 a month left after bills and payments are taken. God i feel sick!

Hi Pixie - welcome hun! I remember that feeling when the reality of how much i owed kicked in. If you look at the Debt Free Wannabee board there are lots of motivating threads about budgeting, ways to earn extra money and a whole variety of challenges. As Tomtom has said, if you start your own thread and post up your statement of account (basically list ALL your outgoings and incomings) people will look and offer suggestions on how / where you could possibly cut back or get a better deal.

I've find the key does seem to be to keep records of all my payments and double checking my incomings / outgoings as i go along. I've had many a set back but this thread helps you to keep going. It's a very friendly, supportive place to be.

    Good luck :D

Well i've been waiting for hubby to transfer some money to me, but my impatience has got the better of me! While i'm waiting i've used some of my savings:

    £25 Bclay o/d
    £50 Egg

TOTAL PaD £75 Thank you DT for the totals. I expect your monthly total will be a cracker. There's a few more paydays to go too before you hand over to Macgirl x
