He's doing brill, thanks for asking! We had a visit from health visitor this morning and she has a real problem with us not wanting to get involved with a specialist just now...in fact, she's got a real problem with Adam! I'm not being over-sensitive or anything but she was really surprised that he was looking around!! I just said well, he is a baby and that's what what's babies do is it not? She seems determined to single to him from other babies and is kinda annoyed that I won't let her :) She was also quite annoyed that I don't have post natal depression :rotfl:
Just seen the rest of the posts too :rotfl: :rotfl: Go Adam for pis*ing all over that cow's scales!! :rotfl: :rotfl: How dare she, I mean what gives her the right to say/ do what she did! Can you report her or make some form of complaint? I'm laughing at Flower's comment too hehe. You just tell that woman she ain't to be coming around again. Such good news to hear that he's fighting fit and showing everyone what he's got ;)

Talking of being a Mum. I picked up my 5 year old from After-School club today and she'd been pushed over in the playground by a bigger boy and "sent flying" in the words of the staff.

She had a huge lump on her head, which was grazed and a red graze under her eyebrow and down her cheek. She's so small for her age and what made it worse was that she didn't even cry!
Today's the first time I've felt that I can't always protect her and felt powerless...:(

There is nothing worse we just want to take all the pain for them and realise we can't a dodgy hug for you and your littleone:grouphug:

It was Baskin Robbins rum and raisin but I only had one scoop normally it would have been a 3 scoop sundae with choc sauce cream and cherries that's what I mean about being bad but not that bad  I don't feel I deserve 4lb on my weight has been really abnormal recently and I have just had a horrible thought am I menopausal:eek: off to check symptoms can't be anything else medical because I have recently had my annual blood tests done eek I suddenly feel very old.

    Oh God just found this

Weight gain at menopause is believed to result from a natural slowing of your body’s metabolism, and this is also associated with aging and a change in lifestyle.
    *drool* omnomnomnom

But cherries, strawberries and raspberries are aaaaall good and spicy stuff speeds up your metabolism! So more ice cream is danko-proven to be good for you :rotfl: :D

My wee lass is quite timid and dainty and I really hate it when other kids take advantage of this, I know I'll not be able to protect her forever and I can't always step in when things are snatched off her or someone takes her favourite teddy and makes her cry but it makes me feel awful just standing by watching.

It's true what people say, being a parent is the hardest job in the world!

I half made a formal complaint about her to her boss when DD was born, she went through a list of things that I wasn't doing 'right' and I told her that as long as DD was fed, clean and had a safe and happy home then I'd do whatever I felt best and I wasn't going to use a textbook to raise my child. I mean, in all honesty, what's the harm in letting babies sleep on their side during the day if they sleep better like that?? I think she's out to get me cause another family member had probs with her a few years ago and people around here never forget!!

£21.64 for me today, rounding my HSBC balance to a nice even 100 :) Not long to go now. Resisting the temptation to just clear it and cut my groceries budget to compensate...

Pay finally cleared into my account today so did some shuffling too - £200 into various savings accounts ready for more of those 'one-off' bills like all the car stuff heading my way in october (MOT, service, insurance, tax and probably tyres ) Pleased with myself at being so organised, month 3 of my budget and even a little wiggle room this month!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::T at baby Adam, sounds like he's going great guns!
