Ah well my positive mood of earlier has been put down by the lovely folks at A&L (aka MBNA?). After spending a great deal of time to work out which cc bal to xfer to the offer they made us 2 weeks ago - DH called them & they refused point-black to do anything at all :mad::mad: Despite quoting their offer back to them - which was offered via phone/letter AND email.....they refused to budge:eek: Only way we can find out WHY is 'by writing to them' oh right. I can't help wondering if it is related to them withdrawing his Virgin cc (nil balance) also MBNA I beleive??? I have no idea why though, but it has put him in an awful mood:eek::eek::eek: as he asked the cc balances which further depressed him...

Well, I refuse to be defeated by the pigs, so here we go ANOTHER PAD TODAY of £1200 TO LLoyds CC. Good luck all & don't let the b***ers get you down!!:D:D:D

Sorry to hear about your problems with the BT. Virgin also wrote to my OH this week to close his card so they have obviously been having a purge probably chose him because we had transferred most of the available balance over to his other MBNA card and we were not using the virgin for the last few months annoying though they have had a lot of interest off us over the years. I was looking forward to getting my own back and card tarting with them but obviously not meant to be:rolleyes:

Well done Andy you deserve the DVDs and they will last a lot longer than the fags.

Bloody hell I read your PAD as £120 which I thought was brill but just realised it is £1200 that is amazing

    Hi everyone!
No PAD for me yesterday, so today it will be £2 to make up for it.

I will think about joining your diet club as I seriously need to lose some weight, so once I'm a bit more organised (and motivated ), I will do so! Thanks for the invite!

Hey DT many thanks for telling me about your OH - MIGHT make DH feel less victimised if he thinks other folk are getting the chop too IYSWIM:rotfl:how do they do that when we are just about to get our own back :mad::mad:

Yes the PAD was mahoosive lol - would have been even more shocking as when I snowballed it I put the point in the wrong place & made it £12,000 (I wish):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:We probably can't afford to pay off that muchthis month but when I realised we couldn't BT to A&L & the interest LLoyds charge meant I was paying £229 p/m & ONLY £40 was coming off each month, it made me so :mad::mad: I just did it !!

Well done on giving up the fags; I have givin up choccy more or less & drinking blech - what else is there??

  • Hello all

I used to do PAD when it first started. A great idea, and it really motivated me at the time.

So I've decided to join again and just pay £1 a day into a separate account to use to pay off my loan in large chunks (no penalty thankfully!)

To pay this I'm going to have to stop eating chocolate so much so this will be quite a challenge

I'm not totally clear how much you want to put as your PAD. I'm the one who totals up the PADs each day this month. I've put it as £117. Not sure if the £9 is in addition though. Please put the PADs in larger text or bold or in colour so that they stand out. (or a combination of). Thanks everyone.
    Sorry about that!
Yes - the £117 includes the £9 I saved on lunches last week!
:T Thanks - this is a fantastic thread!

  • Hi Everyone

    £39.55 for me today.

I've not been able to pad since the 3rd due to a lack of cash. But have made a whopper of a pad for today.

Hi to all the newbies and I hope that everyone is keeping well. I'll be back on tonight to catch up with all that I've missed.

    take care
