Had a 6 month review with Santander - they asked for Bank statements and wage slips - never sent this before just a SOA.
Do I really need to send this? Can I send the statement with lines blanked out as its a joint account & hubby isn't on the DMP?
Have nothing to hide but no one else has ever asked for this and I don't like it!!
Thanks
I wouldn't send them bank statements, and I'm pretty sure I've seen somewhere on here someone asked the same and told they don't need to see them, not to sure about the payslips though - someone who knows more will be along shortly.0 -
Hi
One of my creditors has requested proof of income, but tbh I don't like the idea of it and CCCS have told me not to.
They didn't ask for proof of income when I took out the credit card did they
The Halifax saga continues, I still have no reply to my complaint and the phone is still ringing away off the hook and I'm now receiving text messages from Halifax asking for Mrs X or Mr X to telephone, Steve, Jayne, it's a different alias each time. BTW the person they are asking for isn't me, it's either a ploy to make me call them and say hey I'm not that person, or they are totally incompetent.I have had some good news though, as two of my creditors have accepted my DMP againDMP mutual support thread member:3270 -

just to let you know, we're up !!!!!! creek without a paddle, i'm, or we're in a little debt (30k +) and have defaulted on our mortgage....
I'm a self employed plasterer, my wife works p/t, and have two (expensive) boys (7&3)
we were managing our debt ok ( iva ) until the recession, and have really struggled ever since.
We put our house up for sale (sold), (having 40+ eq), to pay off ALL debt, and take 10K off mortgage, but Santander will not port the mortgage, as we have defaulted. So, as we have ccj's we can't even rent ( unless with a gaurenter)
AND we don't have enough points to even get a council house !!
Here's to a warm summer ( won't be too cold in the tent !!!)
yes... we spoke to santander ( i was stitched up by a builder that owed me 5k- i'm a s'emp plasterer) explaining the m'tage would be late, they said ' no problem, as long as we pay b4 the next month is due', but they have put all the late p'ments on file ! nice !!
with the recession still biting hard, i'm not always busy, nor can i charge top money - vicious circle !0 -
Hi all
I haven't been on here for ages so thought I'd give you a quick update on our situation as things have changed alot over the last couple of months.
We started our DMP in Feb 2009 and all of our creditors accepted reduced payments bar 1, Lloyds TSB who we owed £31,000 to (I must say that the HSBC and Barclaycard payments were only accepted after being transferred to debt collection agencies)
Lloyds managed to obtain a CCJ against my partner (it was thankfully in his name only), then immediately defaulted him as they managed to secure a judgement forthwith meaning that he had to pay the whole amount within a few weeks, which we obviously couldn't do.
Because of this forced default on the CCJ they immediately got an interim charging order on the house.
We decided with the help of CCCS that bankruptcy was going to be the best option for my partner and thankfully managed to get a court date before the final hearing for the charging order.
So he was declared bankrupt this Tuesday and around £40,000 of debt has now gone! :j
It has left me with around £9 - 10 k to pay, but instead of taking for ever it will be paid off in 2 and a half years, and because the house is in negative equity it looks like I will be able to buy my partners interest in the house for a minimal amount.
Anyhow, that's me. It's nice to see some of the people who helped me a year ago still using this board.

Hi
That is brilliant news, well done you.
Have Llyods ended up with nothing ? if they have then surely creditors should realise that accepting a DMP is the better option, at least that way they get something back
Good luck with the 9k and well done for getting it sorted.DMP mutual support thread member:3270 -
Hi Suze72, well done and I hope this means that Lloyds got nothing....bad, bad bank and to think we pulled them out fo the gutter!!. Good luck with getting your debt paid in such a small space of time and double good luck in keeping your home.:T

Yes, you are correct in thinking that Lloyds will now be getting zilch. Serves them right really, we wanted to pay them but they simply weren't sympathetic to our situation. The debt was originally a business debt but one of my OHs business partners took his own life, then the other one went bankrupt which meant that OH was left with the whole lot. I'm not saying that should exclude him from any responsibility for it but you'd think they would be a bit more understanding.Debt free Olympic Contender # 134DMP Mutual Support Thread member # 250DMP March 2010 [STRIKE]£9786 [/STRIKE] now £9900 -
Also....update from me with regards to taking over doing my own debt management. As previously mentioned wrote to all creditors on 8/3 stating that after 2+ years was taking over doing my own DM and thus far, Lloyds credit card have accepted new amount for 6 months, North Rock loan (got ppi back so from £16K owning gone to just over 10K), accepted for 1 year and Egg also accepted, but have not given me any indiction of the time frame, so hoping that this is for the duration.
Still to hear from Cahoot, MBNA, Abbey, Lloyds (Loan, also got PPI back from those and from debt of £13K now owe just over £5K) and Lloyds O/Draft, all these were going nicely with DMC, but wanted to stop paying them and give all spare to creditors, originally DF was 9 years, now my own spread sheet is saying 5 years, just by stopping paying a fee (little confused as have been paying since Sept '07!). Not sure if all will continue to play ball, but hoping that 5 years could be turned to at least 3 years. Wish me luck. Hope you're all unstressed and keep strong.
