    Afternoon all :kisses3:

    I hope you're all okay...

I got my welcome pack from CCCS this morning :j and all was well with the world... til the garage called and said on top of the 154 quid i've already paid it would be 327 to get my car through its MOT  sooo....

... how on earth do I explain to CCCS that there's no chance of me meeting my first payment on 1st July? lol.. the shame... :o

I've asked for quidco to send me my 23 squids... done some greasy palm cashback thingies but not met the minimum... searched the house for things to ebay (nothing) and now just sat here tearing my hair out lol..

    .. here's where I wish I'd done Euromillions :rotfl:

    :rotfl:..
    you and me both! haha.

Anyhooo.. I would call CCCS and tell them..

'Worse things happen at sea' .. ;) you'll be fine.. it's just one of those things.

I'm sure they have ways of dealing with situ's like this.
It can't be helped can it.

Fret not.. (not that you seem to be. You are more like me. Trrrryyyying to laugh in the face of adversity.. :rotfl:_pale_ )

    Just call them ;)

    Evening All :hello:

Gosh, a new thread already ... where have I been

Well boys and girls ... I've been recovering ... from shock. We discovered two weeks ago that we are expecting baby 3 in January 2010. Needless to say, it wasnt quite planned :o but I'm okay with it now. Hubby just thinks he's superman full stop now:rotfl:

Now I know its wonderful to be growing a baby. What's not so wonderful is being on a DMP and having absolutely no other means to ... shhh ... credit :rotfl::rotfl:

The maternity pay policy at work is pants so I get into panic mode wondering how on earth we're going to manage. I dont think that we can change our CCCS plan to include a "baby to be" fund?! We barely ever have anything over as it is to be able to save anything substantial between now and the baby arriving. We have absolutely nothing left from our previous baby - oh, we have DD 11 and DS 5 so quite a gap between them.

I know that friends and relatives will be quite generous and we've had offers of some baby things already, so that's something taken care of but my biggest worry is how on earth we will pay all the bills on one wage and statutory maternity pay?

As soon as I get some more energy in the evenings/weekends I'm going to try my best to ebay as much as I can to hopefully start making headway on a baby fund. Any other ideas peeps?

I dont know ... just when you think you are getting somewhere in getting rid of the debts something else comes along. We've been on our plan for a year now and had only just started getting the overall total down. I dont even know whether CCCS will let us just pay the minimum £5 for each creditor whilst I'm on leave - they may tell us to b*gger off and fend for ourselves

Sorry, I meant to say "HI" to everyone properly. So many new names and people to get to know. Nice to see some more familiar names still around too :D

    Sunshine x

Hello Sunshine, and many congrats on your surprise news!

I was just wondering if your husband is in a position to take on another job? Mine has just started delivering pizza fri-sun evening and after tax gets approx £100 a week. He also gets tips of approx £10 per night which covers his petrol costs. He already works 40 hours a week, but says he doesn't mind doing the extra at all. We just make sure that he gets more rest at the weekend than usual rather than doing so many jobs around the house.

Anyway, just a suggestion, not sure if it's possible for you or not.

    Em

    Hi

Dam cars always eating away your hard earned cash, do you mind me asking how long your welcome pack took to arrive, I was told on Wednesday that one had been ordered for me but it hasn't arrived yet, tbh I was expecting it today, I'm very impatient lol

lol indeed but unfortunately live in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere so it's really hard to live without one...

I did my debt remedy online two weeks ago, I send my forms back on the 4th June... but didn't put enough proof of income in so re-sent that on Tuesday 9th and my welcome pack came through yesterday (saturday) morning... :T i'd say give it a week.. then tear your hair out lol :p

Hey everyone, I have so much catching up to do! Hope you are all well.

I just have a quick question. Have any of you taken a mortgage break/payment holiday while on your DMP? I am hoping to take one next month but not sure what the chances are!

We are with Northern Rock and they are also one of our creditors on our DMP. Obviously CCCS will still pay that part but we were hoping the mortgage part we can get a break from x
