    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can help. I am just about to go into a DMP with CCCS and have my letters to send to my creditors to advise them of this.

The problem I am having is I cannot find anywhere that would state the correct address that I would need to send these to.

Can anyone tell me the address for
    RBS
    HSBC (Banking)
    HSBC (Credit Cards)

I have finally got this all arranged and got over my initial nerves. Still have slight butterflies but I am sure they will ease and I will get closer to paying of my debts which I have been shuffling round for years and burying my head in the sand about

    Thanks
    Sarah

Do you have an online thing with CCCS? I'm with Payplan and on the justabank site they give you, there is all my creditors addresses!

If not do you have any bills or letters you could find the addresses on?

Sorry if that's not much use!

Well done everyone, sounds like it's going well for you all! and well done those that are just starting out! it honestly is a good thing, even if it seems daunting at first! i have had the odd bad day since starting, but those have been simply down to me not managing to stick to my budget (which is tight but doable!) and I can see exactly where i've gone wrong! on the whole i feel SOOO much better and soo much more in control!

I have managed to get to a day before payday with only borrowing £40 from my mum. next month i intend to actually make the budget work and not mess it up again!

  • Oh thank you so much - that is very helpful. What's the best way to send token payments - as postal orders or...?

In cancelling my DDs next month that also includes my own bank - as I won't yet have moved my salary over this could alert them to it couldn't it?? Should I just pay all my priorities (luckily they all go out 1st of the month) then move whatever is left out of the bank and into my new account before they can touch it?

Also - should I include my CCCS reference number in the letter?

Thank you again - I do feel better for getting this ball rolling too but know I've a long way to go still.

Hi went to the post office today and posted my DMP notification etc, should have seen the woman behind the counter's face when I handed her 10 envelopes and asked for them all to go by recorded delivery

Just wondered if anyone has an address for Lloyds TSB customer service the one I have:

    Cust service
    Dept 12-86
    Box2
    BX1 1LT

which was on on my statement cannot be found by the post office!

And also Capital one, I have:

    PO Box 5283
    NG2 3YJ

Which also couldn't be found by the post office, I've found another for Cap one: PO Box 5281, Nott, NG2 3HX,

Just wondered if anyone can help please as I really wanted to post them tomorrow!

I've also held back sending th one to my current account until my direct debits get transferred to my new Account, do you think that will be ok?

    Many thanks

I had the same trouble with Cap One when I originally wrote to them. I recall the PO sent it eventually to the Box 5281 address. Posted begging letter in reply to their response today to the 'collections manager' on Cap One etc. PO Box 5282, Nottingham, NG2 3FB.

Sorry if this doesn't seem to help much. Just make sure you send recorded - it seems to find the right person soon enough!!! (Am feeling disgruntled at moment cos I am bit further on than you and they are adding default charges plus interest which they have increased)

Good luck with your DMP and just imagine how many Post Offices we are keeping alive with our recorded letters;)

Ok, I need some help and advice. I have 8 credit cards and an overdraft and I am struggling to pay the minimum payments. Every month I am up to my overdraft limit which is £1770 and when my wages go in they only clear about half this amount which I then have to use to pay my debts again. My minimum payments on my 8 cards total £680 a month and on several of these when I pay the minimum of £100 they put £96 back on in interest. 3 of my cards have been closed 1 by virgin (£6600) and the interest fixed at 16.9% until I have paid it off (which will be never at this rate). 1 by mint (£800) rate fixed at 21.9% until I have paid it and 1 by Alliance and Leicester (£4600) rate fixed at 17.9%. The other cards I have are Egg (£4100 currently over this limit) Barclaycard Visa (£6550 currently over the limit) Barclaycard Mastercard (£5950 currently over the limit) MBNA Platinum (£1500 my worst apr at 34.9%)!!!!! And Tesco (£1250) who have just informed me my apr is going from 16.9% to 18.9% in october!

My question is this - would a dmp help me out of this mess and what are these particular companies like when it comes to harrasment?? My OH and I own our property with no mortgage, he is terrified of balifts but also forbids me to secure any loan/mortgage etc on it. Can the creditors refuse a dmp because of this?? I bring home around £1250 a month this is including working tax credits and child benefit. But after I have paid out for all the bills and my credit cards we have about £25-£30 a week to spend on shopping, clothes, shoes etc on 3 of us - we are just about managing but it can't go on for much longer as i'm not getting anywhere and our heads are just above water - if something happened out of the blue I wouldn't be able to do anything as there is NO spare cash. My OH doesn't work as he is at home looking after our young son, we looked into him getting a p/t job but once we took out bus fare and having to pay a child minder and took into consideration the loss in benefits, it's just not worth it, also if our son is ill , which he is quite often unfortunately, I would have to call in sick and lose a days pay so it's not worth him doing that either.

I'm just a bit worried about everything really, mainly how the card companies will react - and do i need to get a new bank account if i'm going to do all this as i take it once i do this barclays will stop my overdraft?!?

    Please help me!

Hi I'm no expert so I hope this will help...

Have you input your details into the CCCS website? You don't need to put any personal information in and dont need to speak to anyone to get your debt remedy, once you input your details you get their recomendation for your situation!

Reading this forum it seems that each company can differ considerably from person to person, I am just in the throws of setting my DMP up through CCCS and have just sent my notifications to my creditors, hopefully they will be kind but it is reassuring to know that generally people are saying after the initial few months things do seem to calm down!

I just can't wait to have money to buy things without using my credit cards which I triumphantly cut to pieces last week, (only problem is I can't find my debit card so think I may have got carried away)!

I know CCCS say that if you have a Barclays account there is some way of you keeping an account with them but I personally would open an account with someone else I would leave it to chance that they could get their hands on my money!!

I opened a co-op account online and it only took a few days to sort out.

Hope all this helps in some way and I'm sure if I have got some of it wrong someone will let you know!

Thanks will send it recorded to 5281 address, hopefully the post office will let me back in again tomorrow!! ;)

Bad news on the default charges and interest but at least you should be able to claim those back! Thats my worry too the initial increase!

Good luck with your begging letter, keep us informed of the outcome!

I'm worrying about my next account as ordered from the last sale, not too long ago, and not sure how my DMP news will be taken!

    Thanks again

Thanks, is there any difference between CCCS and Payplan? I have out my details into the Payplan website and it said someone will be in touch in 24/48hrs.

I'm just worried that as we own our own property they will say 'no way get a mortgage'!
