Hi suze. If they have taken over the debt, then CCCS will need new account details so that they can pay them.

So either, tell CCCS and let them contact MCS or ring MCS and say contact CCCS ;)

Don't let them bully you into doing an income and expenditure list over the phone whatever you do - you'll forget something and then it will look like you have more money free - always tell them CCCS have up to date details ;)

Thanks Newlywed, i think I'll ring CCCS rather than Metropolitan. The account number is still the same so I'm assuming that this months DMP payment would still have gone to the right place?

I'm sure HSBC would still allocate it to the right debt so I'm sure you're fine. ;) If you're worried just keep track of your totals and the payments made and then in a few months ring or write and ask them for an up to date balance.

    Hi All,

Just been catching up on posts.

I had all but one of my F&F refused then found out that actually if I paid them less than what was owing I would have to settle "partially satisfied" something which now I have read a lot about can hinder your credit.

However, on a lighter note I contacted Payplan and spoke to a wonderful woman on their settlements team who is talking to each creditor to get a final balance then after a very kind gift from a friend they are all going to be paid at once. Payplan have said this could take up to a week to get the balances then I have between 7 and a max of 21 days to get the money to them. Then I should get statements accompanied with a letter to say the accounts are closed at £0 balance and finished "fully satisfied". I just cant wait, only about £500 left to pay ater 4 years and for the last 3 years I could not have done it without you guys. I will still be here maintaining being debt free once this all is done and I hope I can still help some of you along your journey.

Good news to all of you who had interest stopped, I never had that, but I am beyond caring now in all honesty. I sleep better at night - almost - and that pop of cork and bottle of champagne I shall surely share with all, slurp slurp...

Will keep reading and keep you posted.

    Hi Devon Girl,

Some good advice there, I've been on the DMP over a year now so just had a review. Its the review that made Nationwide go bananas as there is no improvement in my circumstances.

With regard a complaint I have written a three page letter and just need the address for complaints to Nationwide to send it. I twas good therapy writing it.

Got to pop out now so will write more later xx

Re my posts yeasterday about Barclays adding interest to my DH's credit card account - I got a reply back from CCCS this morning (very efficient!) They said that the decision to stop charging interest is at the discretion of the individual company and their 'goodwill' - well with Barclays it doesn't seem to exist!!!

The F&F letter went off to them today so we will see what that brings - their payments will be drastically reduced shortly so perhaps that might frighten them into accepting whatever they can get! :rotfl:

Yes they are a little naughty with interest especially if you pay over the minimum payment as they dont recognise you as being in financial crisis! Its a cruel world. Am hugely curious about your F&F and cant wait to hear how you got on. Never had to deal with Barclays I must say, but it does seem that some companies never treat two people the same and just pick who they want to favour. Good luck

I am now an Usborne Organiser, selling books at work, schools, nurseries, toddler groups and even my own online bookshop. If you are interested let me know. It is a fabulous way of making some extra money. littlenook.co.uk

I am hoping the extra money will get me to my DEBT FREE Date much sooner.

    Wish me luck

I think the thing that annoys me most is I'm on a DMP with CCCS and occasionally I get hit with the odd late payment fee on my cards.

    Any advice on this ?

I've just worked out that I've got about 2 years to go.
