Can anybody please advise on Heathrow lounges for parents with a 2 and a half year old and a 10 month old? Terminal 4 seems to be different (better?)than the other 3 but I don't think we're flying from there. We have an early morning flight and would like to make the experience as calm as possible.
Any info on "baby" corners appreciated!
thanks0 -
I've read peoples' experiences of airport lounges with interest. I'm taking my partner to Prague for her birthday in August and when I booked the flights with EasyJet I saw mention of Executive Lounges for around £17.50 per person but ignored it. For some reason I looked again a couple of weeks ago at Servisair Globeground's website and saw that we could book the lounge for £10 each. As has been mentioned before, by the time you've bought a beer and a snack you're just about there. This space has been intentionally left blank0

Me and two friends booked the airport lounge at liverpool airport for £15 each, it was nothing special as the only food avaliable was fruit, crackers, mini chedders mybe we went at at a bad time. We got our monies worth of alcohol as some of it found it's way into our bags for the flight...oops
Worth the £15 if you just want to get away from the crowds and relax before your flight but you had to go to the reception desk to keep checking departure times as they wold not tannoy the times in the lounge0 -
Hi Amys
The bank is the Royal Bank of Scotland - £12 per month gets you free airport lounge, 10% of all hols and flights, annual family travel insurance (with ski upgrade if needed) commission free currency, 25% off theatre tickets, discounts in hotels and restaurants, an extra 2 years guarantee on electrical products, enhanced savings rates, discounts on insurance, free creditcard protection etc.etc.
If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!0 -

I agree the kids might be bored.
If you use the bn221 code on bcponline you get 10% off
Thank you saveapenny - I used this code today to book the lounge for four of us in Terminal 2 Heathrow and it worked a treat. I saved almost £12 on any other price I could find. I think it would work for any lounge on bcponline.co.uk
Thanks again, Violetta

Jeanna, there are 2 lounges at glasgow airport and i have been in both several times. There is a world of a difference between them. Land side is the servisair one and it is a dingy place with no windows, ok, if you get it included in the RBS royalties package. The KLM (airside) lounge is much better with views on to the run way and much brighter and bigger, that would be my choice. Happy holidays!0

The BA lounges have what they call a ToyBox room. Its a small room with a TV and a few kids toys, but ye bonus is that its made of glass so you can chuck the kids in and sit outside in peace and calm while still keeping an eye on the little ones. The BA longes also do a little more than snacks - around breakfast they have cereal and toast out, and sadwiches at lunchtime, but I dont know if you can "buy" access.0 -
Interesting stuff - are the Manchester lounges available before you book in?
When I fly from Man, I'd prefer to get to/from the airport by train but this is a bit tricky for early morning flights. First train reaches the airport around 7:30am, so not really safe for flights before 9:30 (allowing for missing train, leaves on the line etc...). The last train would get me there around 1:30am and I could probably live with a bit of a doze in a comfy lounge...0
